Click over to the tour dates page to check them out. Tickets for our show in Greensboro at the War Memorial Auditorium (10/31) go on sale this FRIDAY, August 15th at 10AM. Make sure to get yours soon - this place only holds a little over 2,000 and at our last NC show, we were honored to have 7,000 in attendance. We'll also be sticking around the Carolinas to play a show in Greenville, SC at the Peace Center on 11/1. It's a beautiful venue and we hope you will join us. Tickets are on sale now for that show, and can be found here. Last, but not least, The Second Gleam has been doing really well! NPR recently chose "Tear Down The House" as their Song Of The Day (listen here) and Pitchfork gave it a nice review, too. They said: "The new EP is eloquent but not showy, reflective but not self-absorbed, tender but not saccharine." Read more here. It was also the highest debut on CMJ’s Top 200 Chart at #39 and has moved up to #26 this week! The NY Daily News said that the album has "melodies as pure and pretty as a crystalline stream," and Performing Songwriter called it "mesmerizing." USA Today recently highlighted the track "Murder In The City" in their weekly playlist calling it "charmingly spare" and "Bella Donna," was recently chosen as the Top Tune at legendary LA-based radio station KCRW. Thanks to everyone who picked up a copy and for all of your kind words! We will see you all very soon, The Avett Brothers Photo from the stage at the Peace Center in Greenville, SC |
