SSS & Rolling in My Sweet Baby's Arms!!! Aaaaawwww, why didn't I make the drive???
Oh....I want Ten Thousand words in AA on Tuesday...crosses fingers...
10,000 Words!!! I have been waiting to see where that gets play. Hopefully they'll save one for when they return my way in the early summer.
I enjoyed the live version of 10,000 words waaay more than on the album. Scott played on his acoustic guitar and seth was playing higher on his electric and it was accompanied with bass, cello, and drums. it sounded really awesome. Where have all the average people gone was really awesome full band too. Great show!
Ten Thousand Words electric and drums? Someone must have a video of this...
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
i have been looking for the name of the opening band, does anyone on here remember their name? Really great show btw, was blown away. This was my first avett concert, and i must say it holds the #1 spot of "best concert i have ever attended."
Trey3d, they are The Low Anthem. So glad you loved your first show!
The guys played great but was anyone else annoyed with the crowd? It seemed like every drunken college guy in the crowd was trying to out due each other by yelling in between songs. And what was with the drunk girl at the very front row to the right? She didn't realize they played Murder in the City and towards the end of the set screamed for them to play it... Scott seemed kinda annoyed with that. Plus the idot was trying to clap to the beat during Bella Donna. 1.) That is NOT a song to clap to and 2.) she had NO rythm - it was HORRIBLE! I'm praying for a better crowd tonight in Minneapolis!
I was really annoyed. (Begins Rant) That girl was just to the right of me, and I kinda felt like strangling her. Her boyfriend or whatever was just as bad. I was hoping security would ask to see their tickets because those were not their seats. The Bros. did seem annoyed too, at least that's what i got from some of the comments I heard them say to one another. Her jumping on stage at the end was it for me. I wanted her slip and fall, or at least security to tackle her. I also had some guy sit down the floor next to me after sneaking into the pit. He then proceeded to take of his shoes and and stretch his legs out. He had nasty dirty socks, and kept raising his foot up and taking pictures??? The best though was during Low Anthems final song, a group of latecomers came stumbling up to the front row and one girl turns around and yells HHEEYY! to a friend a few rows back, right during a quite part of the song. I couldn't believe the rudeness! Still a great show, just wish some people had some manners.

have to agree on all points...there was also people telling them to take off their shirt or some damn thing like that. And some woman went on the stage at the end to shake hands with the band. It was a pretty weird crowd vibe, and a bit embarrassing.
Have to agree about the crowd. Sat on aisle on right side. People constantly walking down to take pics and then standing there...and standing there (some did kneel which was nice). One girl eventually got yelled at to move. Also, people who shout out requests between songs kill me. I've been to a concert where the band stopped mid sentence and said "I assure you, we will try to play all your favorites." It's embarrassing. Hey dude, at no point did I hear the band open it up to requests.
I also was waiting for the chick to get tackled when she jumped on the stage. Classy. Also when she requested a song they already played - oops!
As for the Bros - classic. First time to see them non-festival.
One thing though, "I and Love and You" wasn't on the setlist. Is that odd to anyone but me...or is that common on this tour?
