Every time I hear this song, I think of Elliott Smith's "A Fond Farewell". Every time. Instrumentally, I mean. I love them both. Anyone else?

I had never thought of that... but I do listen to this Darling song VERY often!

I like the lyrics "I know this talented young poet, he said it all when he sang, 'November, the season blue remains.'" I think (actually pretty sure) Seth was referring to Scott. So sweet.

That is what he's referring too. That line hit me so damn hard. These brothers are so proud of each other. Not many have a close relationship like this. The Darling CDs werent made for a widespread audience. He's not putting that in for show

You're totally right being1053, definitely not for show. There is pure love between the two brothers, it's so amazing and endearing. The whole Avett family is amazing. They are the very definition of "family".
