i love that i can put this cd in and almost immediately start crying. these songs are so raw and played with so much emotion...when i listen to this i think back to when it came out and how much things have changed for the avetts. they've grown so much musically. but putting this in i remember seeing them with about 12 people in the audience at golden gate coffee shop. or the times they played fat city. or when they got "big" and would play pucketts to about 80 people. of all their shows i've been to, none have been remotely bad. i never left feeling let down.
