I'm a fan (and you should be too) because there is not another band out there like the Avett Brothers. I stumbled upon their music in 2007 after reading a review in Paste magazine and was instantly hooked by the genuineness (is that a word) to the music. In 2008 I went through an awful breakup and as I listened to The Avett Brothers, the music became all the more clear. From It's The Beaches, to I Would be Sad, to Tear Down the house and Salvation Song... It's was an emotional ride to me that is all too real. Gotta love the Avetts, you just can't find this much authentic, genuine soul in music anywhere else!
