I'll second what Marysstikal said. All of it.
Can someone link that Closing Night vid? (thanks)

Anyone taping these? I'd love to hear Hand Me Down Tune live. Super cool for you guys. Again, I really wonder what's next.

for you, angi!

and everyone else. Smiling

What a great night.

I can't believe I skipped out on this show, and then had the nerve to look at the setlist. Looks like I missed out

No problem on the Closing Night video. Sorry it was so low quality, we forgot our camera in the car we decided not to drive. I am still in shock that I got to hear that. Unfortunately, for Hand-Me-Down I didn't think to get my brother to pull out his phone to record it. Although, I did see about three or four people recording it, so hopefully one will surface on youtube.

The show was amazing! I didn't expect them to play, "I Killed Sally's Lover". It's one of my all time favorites! It was a great show!
Speaking of recording...I recorded a few songs. I should have them up on youtube soon. I'll post a link when I get them up!

I recorded about 3/4 the songs, i think i got hand-me-down tune, not sure though. Ill post again once they're uploaded. Great Concert. I was worried about Kick Drum Heart after hearing it on iTunes, but after that concert its possibly one of my favorites, which really means its up there with the rest of their songs : D

Last nights show was awesome!! I know I got I and Love and You, Nothing Short of Thankful, In the Curve, A gift gor Melody Anne, The Greatest Sum and Salvation Song recorded. I will post a link when they finally get on YouTube!

I also wanted to note that in Murder in The City, Scott sang "Make sure my daughter knows I love her, Make sure her mother knows the same". It made me smile!

Changing the plans that I’ve been setting on
I’m scared by the way that my life is getting gone

great concert, salvation song at the end was very touching. I appreciate the crowd being respectful and courteous during the concert, couldn't ask for a better concert!. Well worth the 5 hour drive!

oh MAN! What a set! Mary Ellen--what song did you call me during? I couldn't tell. Sad

"A Gift For Melody Anne" was a huge highlight for me...it's been one of my top 3 songs I've wanted to hear live for years, and it's one I've always felt close to. That was amazing. Great set...lots of new and old mixed in...and a great show by the guys. I didn't even know Seth was losing his voice until Scott brought him a cup of steaming hot tea after "In The Curve." They were really on, I thought, and gave the show I was expecting and had been so excited about for the last few months. I would have preferred one big change in the company I was around...I know SundayRehab knows who I'm talking about...ya'll heard the guy shout "pimp" during "In The Curve"...but it definitely didn't ruin the show for me. I wish we had stayed to talk to the guys; I always feel bad to have them stay longer after giving everything on stage. But I'm feeling a strong urge right now to tell them how much I appreciate them, their hard work, and their music...and telling them in person seems to be the most meaningful way to get that across, even though I know I'm not particularly eloquent or intelligent when I actually do get those rare opportunities. Oh, well. That show should hold me over until whatever the New Year's plans turn out to be.

Just realized this maybe should be in the concert reviews thread...oh, well...

Here's a big THANK YOU to the band! I love you guys!

"Life's too short, just be nice."

So glad Amelia and I decided to buy tickets last minute from trawling and drive down for this! Not only did we have an excellent time at the hotel and around Roanoke with Mary Ellen, but we got to meet up with some new Team Avett people we hadnt met and some we had. The show was excellent! We werent in the pit, but it really amde me happy to see everyone around us really enjoying themselves and dancing and singing along. Its so amazing to see how The Avett Brothers reach literally every different type of person there is.

When at first I learned to speak.
I used all my words to fight.
With him and her and you and me.
Ahh, but it's just a waste of time.
Yeah it’s such a waste of time.
