Good luck. Not a lot of support on the banjo side of things here.

But their good times come with prices
And I can't believe it when I hear the jokes they make
At anyone's expese except their own
Would they laugh if they knew who paid?
I just picked up the banjo in the last few weeks, but this is how I play the lick (in G), hopefully the formatting works out:
D---5--4-------------------
B--------------3---3--5---
G----------------4---------
D---------------------------
G---------------------------
Then it's just a G-C-D progression for the chords.
(G) 21 days lost at (C) sea I fought
(G) for 22 years non-stop (C) I've talked
(G)Through the desert, piss-drunk and (C) confused I walk
(G)I spit a tooth into the (D) palm of my (G)hand
etc, Throw in some hammer-ons and slides into the root notes for effect, and season to taste.
Sounds pretty good to me thanks!
do i need to use a kapo on this??
no capo is necessary
A good way to play the parts btween verses is to strum the G chord with the 1st string fretted on the 5th fret then the fourth fret. Give it a cool sound.
Strum:
D---5-
B------
G------
D------
G------
Then:
D-4----
B-------
G-----
D-------
G-------
Play those then continue as a start to the G chord during the GGGC part of the song.
