I'm at work so I have to keep it real low, but I'm loving it so far! Stoked to hear it on high.
I was just about to post on this. I'm three songs in and can't get enough.

A friend of mine at work gave me a burned copy of this album. I have no idea how she got it. I haven't stopped listening to it since last week. Can't get enough. It's a little more "layered" than previous work so I'll be interested to see how they pull that off live. My kids love the Tighten Up video featuring Frank the Funkasaurus Rex...it makes us laugh
I like it so far. Ten Cent Pistol is awesome!
Wait til you get to Sinister Kid...sweet!
Oh man it's so frickin good. Not that I'm surprised. Can't wait to see them play Hollywood in September!!!
hopefully see them at ACL!!
I'm excited to get to listening. thanks!
I haven't listened to a whole lot of the Black Keys, but I do know that they recorded this new album about 10 minutes from my house at the old Muscle Shoals Sound studio in Sheffield, AL. It was a popular spot for recording for bands like The Rolling Stones and Paul Simon back in the 60's and 70's. It's been a museum for that past 20 years or so and they basically kinda just came in and brought in some new modern equipment and de-museum'ed the place.
Here's an article from the local newspaper here about there time recording and some other interesting info about the studio:

You're the back and forth sway of the hammock all day...
Love this album. Got a free deluxe edition from their Twitter contest. Got some grit to it as well as weaning away from their simple blues riffs from before. It's like, experimental, but it all fits together so well..
The color changing disc is fun too
F.Y.I. The Black Keys are David Dye's guest today on the World Cafe.
They're playing in Asheville at the Peel on 9/14 for $35.
