I hope to see you guys there....it will be my 8th show and I am starting to recognize some regulars at the shows, haven't really talked to any of you yet though..if you see me say hi.
Kate and I are so excited! (I'm speaking on her behalf because she's my roommate and we're basically the same person ha). This is our fourth show and we can't waiiiiit!

YES! We've got a sort of big living room.. I'm sure we can figure something out. Our neighbors that we've filed noise complaints against several times would probably be very upset with us though haha.

i just moved to chicago a couple of weeks ago from north carolina where the brothers are from. I am excited to see a show out of state and i hope a good crowd comes out to see them here. Also, is there anyone who plays any instruments that would be interested in playing some avett tunes sometime?

I don't know that there's actually any good bars downtown. The area around HOB is pretty touristy, but I'm sure there's something lurking on the side streets that'd be worth checking out. 11 more days!!
Hello all. 7 days to the show! If any are interested, we are having a pre-party before the show up in Lakeview (like 3 miles north of the HOB). We made a website for the event: www.avettchicago.com. All are welcome to join. For those from the Carolinas, there will be a handful of people that are making the trip up from Charlotte and some Carolina transplants.
Wow, that rules! I will pass it on to my Chicago friends who are headed to this one. Have fun and please keep us updated about your event (and those Avett-tinis!)
I want more details! The site won't load so I sent an email to the event address to hopefully find out more. I'll have to patiently wait for more information...
In case anyone is having problems with the website...here's a brief rundown. We are meeting up at about 4:00PM. There will be Carolina BBQ, live Avett covers, and plenty of drinks (including sweet tea firefly). There will also be an attempt by some to dress like your favorite band member. I will be flying up from Concord NC tomorrow. Plan on catching a Cubs-White Sox game on Sunday at 1, then my girlfriend and I are headed into the city. I would love to join the pregame festivities, but I'll be going to the venue early. Definately not one to name drop, but let's just say I'll be pregaming with some cool out of towners. Hope everyone enjoys the show- I know I can't wait!
