we've been waiting!!!

We had Four Thieves as the final encore song in Harrisburg. Magical.

Great list, thanks for posting it so quickly!! Laughing out loud

we collect and put away lots of fragments, because we keep recording devices and notebooks with us at all times and when the song calls, when the song comes, we are prepared to accept it

Nice mix! Thanks for the Fall and Melody Anne call. Lucky dog! Sounds like it was fun! Did they do the Complaint part?

Talk on Indolence, Wanted Man, Salvation Song, etc....Pretty much every song I wanted to hear that they didn't play in St. Augustine and Orlando. And I missed it. [huffing and puffing]

So if ever someone says to you "Life isn't fair, get used to it"
Then you should say "Well It might be if folks like you would let it be."

Ah! Sounds like it was a great show, was hoping to hear talk on indolence in orlando, glad some floridians got to hear it!

Sounds like a great show. And you are to be commended for your setlist posting skills. Nicely done.

Distraction 74 was between paranoia and living love.

Would have loved to hear Dream appointed and Four Theives Gone! Sounds like it was a great show...but then again, arent they all?? Smiling

Changing the plans that I’ve been setting on
I’m scared by the way that my life is getting gone

Thanks for the correction jwgator! Kcjonez was *distracting* me with his texts Smiling

I also added a few songs from soundcheck (whoo-hooo!).

The highlight for me was with no doubt GFMA; I nearly passed out, and did bounce into all the poor folks standing around me. The Fall was terrific as well. Really, the whole show was non-stop wonderful! The folks that have been waiting since last year for this show must be quite pleased! Wesley, so sorry you missed out Sad

That does it for my FL tour; wish I could promptly post more sets... But, what an amazing 3 days! Now back to work, ugh.

And in my dreams I saw the future

yeah, it was...wowsie, wow, wowsers, omg, can it get any better?? incredible show, amazing energy even though it was brutally hot. it was like gift after gift after gift. incredible. even mellybean (who has seen them a ton) said this might be the best yet. i would say that's a very strong compliment from a girl w/ all the experience.
this too, ends my run. Sad but what an incredible ride, thanks brothers!
it was also such a great pleasure to meet all of you that are here on the boards! i have a feeling we will be seeing each other in the future and i look forward to it!

Yeah! I'm going to start selling my dusty possessions so I can go to the Charlotte show. In this case, giving mother earth the present of ash doesn't pay for tickets!

Kinglet, I'm with you on the fall. I thoroughly enjoyed that one. Three encore songs was an unexpected bonus as well. I had more fun in orlando, but its always a great time when the avetts come to town. I'll patiently await the next show, and probably find a good road trip to catch them between now and then.

can't believe we got The Fall and GFMA - amazing! one of the best i've seen, without a doubt - thanks Avett!

Thanks for posting the setlist. This by far the best show I have seen. (of thiers and of all the other shows I have seen in my little ol' lifetime!)

I also really enjoyed Matt Butcher (the opening act).

"With paranoia on my heels; Will you love me still
when we awake and you find that the sanity has gone from my eyes?"

Wow, 3 encores!

--
I gave to you my ugly brown coat, you made it pretty when you put it on....

Did they play Complainted'vn Matelot Mourant after Gift for Melody Anne?

thats an incredible setlist... so glad they are pulling out older and unreleased songs more and more.

Team Avett #68

Andre, talked to walstib and she said they didn't. Though I bet it would have been amazing and particularly heart-wrenching. It was like a sweaty tent revival that night - FL in mid-July is H-O-T! The pics definitely look like the fellas were baptized in sweat that night.

Hey, no they didn't play it.

And in my dreams I saw the future

I was really wanting the second encore - they could have squeezed it in !

Some killer pics and review posted at CL: http://blogs.creativeloafing.com/tampacalling/2009/07/21/concert-review-...

Does anyone ever record these shows?
