My advice is simple: experience these artists.
Everyone in the area should go to this. Josh puts on an awesome show, his energy is easily on par with Langhorne's.

All that comes, it comes here to pass
I agree with Mooncutter, I will definitely be there. He is by far the nicest, most genuine musician you'll meet. Not to mention...his songs are awesome...along with the Royal City Band!

Smilin' Josh Ritter. Sweet guy and excellent show to see.
I met him on the streets of San Fran after he opened for John Prine one very cold night last year. I do remember that smile of his, too! He was so kind and, I think, genuinely happy we stopped him to say hello. That was my first introduction to him and I'd love to see him again. Suppose I should finally download one of his albums...what's the Nation's recommendation?
p.s. Captchas are the suck.

CoffeeBomb - Start with "Animal Years", then move on to "The Historical Conquests of Josh Ritter". He just came out with a new album, "So Runs the World Away" It's a little more dark and emotional than his previous efforts (like I&L&Y), but it's incredible. His real skill is his songwriting, probably one of if not the best young songwriter out there (not taking anything away from TAB).
He just got married to Dawn Landes and both of them are in the middle of a long tour across North America...check his website to see if he's coming near you.
I'll be at the Handlebar - hope to see you there!!

2nd vote for Animal Years - by far my favorite of his albums - followed by Historical Conquests. But don't miss Kathleen and Snow is Gone from Hello Starling.
Haven't been able to get into the new album, really like a few songs, but otherwise not really up my alley.
My order would be: Animal Years, Hello Starling, So Runs the World, Golden Age of Radio or Historical Conquests...
There is also a nice Daytrotter session as well to start with.
Don't know if I'll make it out for this one, but I'll definitely be at the Handlebar's Carolina Chocolate Drops show on September 22nd!
Well, it looks like we're going to be there after all. Anyone else (besides the BROMAN) planning to come to the show?
