When someone starts a new topic it doesn't say who started the topic. It only posts a name when the first reply is written.

Second there is no function to go directly to the last post it simply tells you how many posts there have been since you last looked at the thread

Nice work Steph and team. I can only imagine the amiunt of effort it took to carry this over.

Also is there any concern that use "activity" as an incentive will encourage "activity" that is only done to gain points and not to actually contribute?

yeah, great job everyone. i'm sure it was a real undertaking. i already downloaded a couple fun desktops.

i love that you can choose your theme. can't wait to see new ones as they come out.

i also like that you can mark what shows you'll be attending. that's pretty fun. it took me a second to figure out how to do it at first. but you have to click on the date of the show (not the number of ppl attending)

Hi everyone-- Lars from Columbia here. Still a few kinks to work out, so thanks for your patience. The team is still working on some additions and bug fixes but we thought the time was right to change over. To answer a couple of questions: 1) We didn't announce the site via email because we wanted to make sure it was working well before we did our "grand opening." But we're happy you're here and thanks for the positive feedback. 2) This is definitely the thread the team is watching for bug reports. So let us know right here. 3) The points thing is not meant to be a competition. We haven't devised a reward system yet precisely for that reason . Posting and taking part here will hopefully be its own reward. That said, we're likely to be coming up with some special stuff for folks who are active. We'll be monitoring for "point spam" but we think this community is pretty healthy, and we hope we spend most of our time here on more interesting things. Enjoy, Lars

initial thoughts - digging the graphics, but not so excited about the myspace feel. Also kind of a wierd thing but I miss seeing number of posts under the users names on the boards.

I like the new site...it will take some time to get used to. I set mine to the ship and I like the points you earn. I dont like that my screen name doesnt fully show but maybe mine is just too long! It does kinda remind me of MySpace, LittleManFromAustin...
