Not sure if this is old news. I've kind of been out of the loop over here in Oz but I just saw that the Bros are playing the Newport Folk Fest this year on the 1st of August.
It looks like an amazing line up for those lucky enough to go... Edward Sharpe, The Avett Bros, Sharon Jones, The Felice Brothers, Ben Sollee, and Justin Townes Earle all on the Sunday!

we are doing a few days in boston then driving down to newport for the sunday shows. i hope there is a meet and greet table.

re: meet and greet - there was a table last year, but if I remember correctly, the Avetts did not participate (someone please correct me if I'm wrong). That was before the release of I and Love and You, so I'm sure if they didn't last year, they won't this year but who knows.
However, some other great acts did (including Dave Rawlings and I *think* Langhorne, but again, not sure), so if you're interested in other "smaller" bands, you probably have a good shot.

I went in 08 and as far as I know the Avetts did not do a table then either. They did play at one of the smaller stages though.
