Awesome show, lots of new great songs

The show was great slower tunes yet still powerful and amazing. Could hear a pin drop during Black and Blue.

The boys were on a mission for this show. They had the first four songs preplayed in their minds well before they took the stage. This was an awesome opening with Scott letting everyone there know within the first 30 seconds of Please Pardon Yourself that he was not warming up, he took the stage on FIRE!!! The man had the fury of a bull inside his voicebox. We did not need to warm up either I was sweating bullets 30 seconds into it as well. I was amazed with Black and Blue, great song and Seth was as smooth as Silk. During Love Like the Movies Seth popped a string and we were treated to some "fill in instrumentation" that was excellent and maybe 2 minutes long. Wanted Man has been a wanted jam for me all summer and I got it in excellent fashion I might add. Hand Me Down Tune and Bella Donna had the crowd really quited down, mesmerized, and in wonder as to what could possibly come next. Pretty Girl from Raleigh...... set it off ...and the crowd reached 6.0 on the Richter Scale of excitement. We got an electric treat for an encore, The Perfect Space. 21 great songs, performed by four people that truly love what they do. Scott, Seth, Bob, and Joe were on top of their game this night and sent us home fulfilled.

this was my first avetts experience and i'm hoping for many more to come! the combination of the venue and crowd were amazing, like one big family. not to mention the eruption of new songs, old favorites, and an improvised jam sesh that really set the tone. the slower songs sent chills down my spine and i nearly forgot to breathe during black, blue and bella donna. i certainly hope they come back soon and that bob'll sing some next time!
