I've been hoping for these as well.
I know that the song starts off on a G - It was a New Years Day
Then into a C back to G and then D7 - against the sky of grey
but I can't figure out the progression in the chorus - Do you remember what we talked about
I'm pretty sure its the same chords but in the Avett video I can see Seth go up into the middle of the neck to pick around and I have no idea what he's doing there.
Im interested to see if anything pops up here - appears to be an easy song

I am Avett crazy like the rest of y'all but just don't have the time or gumption to hang here a lot. With that said, I have picked up my guitar again after a long hiatus and I am inspired to learn this song after seeing them play in Chattanooga and for New Years. I do not know why it is but I love this song. THANK YOU for posting chords. I had the same experience as mentioned above where I knew it was G and just couldn't see what Seth was up to in the video.
