Pretty Excited - Just bought our tickets for June 22 LONDON UK Show!

Anyone else going to be there? Does anyone have any info on this venue? How big is the place? Oh, will "Yanks" be welcome by the locals for a TAB show?

See you there!! I'm coming with friends from Memphis and know nothing about the venue I cannot wait!

Me me me!! I convinced my friend to make a pit stop in London from Dublin before going on to Cinque Terre, I was really hoping they would put up more dates so I could plan our backpacking a little more Avett friendly, but they just aren't cooperating Sad(( We need to buy our tickets on the cheap airlines before they are gone.

All I know is that they have GA and then at least a second floor/balacony, which is good enough for me, so I can be close and standing up Smiling))
It's funny you mention the yank comment at a local show, when I saw them in London last year, everyone was sooo nice. It was actually quite funny the people in front us were from San Diego (and I live in orange county) so reaaaally small world, actually it seemed like a lot of the early birds were American. There was this very angry drunk girl who made the show awkward for a while, but when the two "locals" finally held their ground and got security to kick her out, they let us stand in front of them even though I thought I was being obnoxious with all the jumping and screaming and singing. So yeah nice Smiling)

Here's some info from the website http://www.o2shepherdsbushempire.co.uk/Info

Shepherd's Bush Empire is a bigger venue than last year's KoKo or Relentless Garage, which means there will probably be a few more British fans this time around. Shepherd's Bush Empire isn't too terribly far from London's biggest mall, Westfield, which means there are plenty of places in Westfield's amazing food court to go grab a quick bite if you're planning on waiting in line. Also, Marcus Mumford lives in Shepherd's Bush, so I have my fingers crossed for a surprise sing-along with M&S now that they know each other from the Grammys and M&S wraps up their tour on the 18th and both bands will most likely be playing Glastonbury. A girl can hope!

@uponcripplecreek I remember that drunk girl! We were all so happy when her and her friend were kicked out! I think the majority of people at the Avett shows I've been to in London have been Americans. Also, when are you going to Cinque Terre? I've been a couple of times. It's my favorite place in Italy! If you haven't already booked a room, I know a great place in Vernazza's harbour that is reasonably priced. Make sure you grab a giant peach for breakfast one morning. Biggest juiciest peaches I've ever had!
