I had to share my excitement. I got the deluxe signed package; who else did ? I can hardly wait to see what's in the box!

Me too! I was so excited when the calendar flipped to Sept. 1st.
Is it wrong to hope that the box appears a day before the 29th?
no it is not wrong and I would almost bet we get somethiing pertaining to the cd befor the actual release, I know those who preordered emotionalism got it a lil early
totally not wrong.
i'm hoping too.
ahhh, just thinking about it makes me giddy
It's not wrong to hope for it, but you are wrong if that's what you think is going to happen. They aren't shipping until the 24th. Probably won't be on anyone's doorstep before the 29th.
But there's always the vinyl this coming Tuesday! I myself will be purchasing it so I can a)listen early and b) keep the one in my box (with exclusive sleeve art!) in pristine condition.
Trying to decide if I should make the trip up to Asheville to pick up a copy on the 15th....my books this semester broke $500....and I drove up there for the 7". Decisions, Decisions...or rather, do i have the money?
I'm with blasto on both accounts. I'm sure the sound from the vinyl will blow my mind!

lildeadhead: that pen she uses to keep her setlists? it's a human-finger bone. dipped in the blood of the ones who yell out during "murder in the city". poetic, no?
I've never understood how people spend $500 on books. I always bought previous editions and rarely broke $200.
You can always order online for WAYYYY cheaper than the used cost in college bookstores too. A friend of mine got a book that was 100 dollars USED at the bookstore at UNCA, ordered it online for 20 bucks. Sometimes they'll screw up and send you the teachers edition too
International editions are the best. They're the same exact thing for over half the price.
Well...at my college there were alot of "new editions" this year. So I had no choice but to buy brand new...two of them were in the 150-170 range...cant remember exactly...cheapest book was like 50 bucks and it can fit in the palm of my hand.
Try Pharmacy school - had to buy 1 book for my wife that was over $500 itself

Needless to say I HATE the whole textbook thing.

jrlooney,
The #1 Pharmacy school in the country was in my old hometown of Weatherford, OK! Just thought I'd keep up the threadjack.
Hehehehe. Ya, UNC Chapel Hill was at #3, but now I believe they are at #2. Of course, it always depends on who compiled the list.

ouneek: I had to buy a math textbook this semester that was a first edition, also "specially made" for my university. $180.
It's college algebra, why the hell do we need "special for our school" textbooks? I could see if I was in a 400 level course and math was my major, but geez.
Is there anyway to know if you got a signed box set or a regular one? I ordered the first day they went on sale, but I'm not sure if it ever specifically said I was getting a signed one...just wondering

What more is a rainbow, than colors out of reach.
First thousand I believe; you should be fine... I noticed they removed the bonus signed album print from the box set purchasing page in mid/early august which could indicate that anyone who bought when the bonus print was listed in the store item should be getting one.
ugh school books are a DRAG super expensive and even worse when you try to sell them back at the end of the semester and they give you 30 dollars for a book that originally cost you 180$ wow thanks!! either that or they wont give you any money because they tell you they are now using a new edition. EW I hate it...knowledge is expensive!
