you guys never disapoint

I have watched "Austin City Limits" for 15 years and this is the best performance I have seen. I am bias due to the fact that I used to see The Avett Brothers play in Rock Hill, SC and have followed them ever since.

I DVRed the show and watch it twice a week.

art

I understand that The Avett Brothers are also artist.

We are huge fans but my son and his wife to be are some of the largest fans you have - they have seen you live 6 times and own all of your music.

My wife and I would love to give them for a wedding present an original artwork signed by the artist.

Any chance of this happening?

Thank you so much,

Jerry and Susan

Caught their show in Charlotte back in August, seeing them on ACL wasn't enough. So got my tickets to see them in Columbia, MO. I am beyond excited.

I will be honest, I don't know how big Austin City limits is , but I know it's a great sign and it has exposed the brothers that much more. I thought they preformed well. Scott seemed a little under the weather, but Seth made up for it. I can tell some people in the audience had a look of shock on their face. The Avett Brothers are and were so unique and talented, that it brought some fresh air so to speak to young people in the audience that are not exposed to a lot of original music and talent.

pumped
fast
upbeat
gotta love it

If I only had a half hour to introduce a friend to the Avetts, this would be the one to do it with. I think it covered the book nicely. It captured their live energy, as well.

My set faves: January Wedding, Murder in the City, and Talk on Indolence.

Soooooooo unsatisfying because it was soooooooo short. These guys are coming to the world with a lifetime of music and several great albums worth of songs. I agree with the one who commented that next season they need an hour to play. They barely scratched the surface of their talent. I am thankful that I will see them twice in a couple of months. In the meantime, this was a great appetizer. Murder in the City and When I Drink were highlights, besides Talk on Indolence an all time favorite of mine.

Great show guys! So electric and so energetic! My only complaint was that it didn't last long enough. They should have given you the full hour. Well done!

It's always so great to see them in HD. I liked the set list but would have replaced one of the soft ones with one more rocker.

I just randomly stumbled onto the show and forced my children to watch it. I converted them..LOL

that was such a awesome show you guys played on it. I also loved all of the camera angles there were. Made it a great experience. One flaw though the audience was super lame and not getting into it

You guys were amazing on ACL last night, and I am so glad you played some old songs as well as new. If only I could see you live again. Sticking out tongue

this show was so great the only thing bad about it was that it was only half an hour long.

Great performance last night on ACL. Very cool that PBS offers the full episode on video their website http://video.pbs.org/video/1392403650/ I watched it again this morning! Only wished I could have seen a full hour of TAB instead of the Heartless Bastards.

every showing is at 3 am until february 6th and 7th then it will be on at 9pm (mst) and 12am(mst)
granted im up now, but people are sleeping at my house, that would be just rude to rock the volume and rude to not rock the volume, so my catch 22

well i guess i will just have to wait that two extra weeks, i'll make it

DVR-ed it too for some great rewatch action. Can't wait for you guys to be here in Columbia, MO. I'll be the one waiting for as long as it takes by your bus. The good looking one.. with the hair. You'll know.

I cannot find it anywhere in our TV guide for tonight. We've done a search for ACL and the programs shown are all repeats. We cannot find you!!! We are going to see David Bromberg & Jorma Kaukonen tonight and wanted to set our DVR. HELPPPP. We are in the Philly PA area and have looked on every channel!!!!

!!

its about time! ...cant wait to tune in!!

I have been checking ACL's website forever! If I got a nickel for every time I rave about TAB, I would be rich.

For Austin City Limits with our Brothers!

Just in case anybody here wants to know. I just looked it up on the WTVI website and it is showing the world's greatest band on at 11PM. Cable channel 5.

There was a dream and one day I could see it. So, like a bird in a cage I broke in and demanded that somebody free it. And there was a kid with a head full of doubt, so I'll scream 'til I die or the last of those bad thoughts are finally out.

We live in Shreveport La. so it will play on the 30th at 11PM.....just wanted to give ya the heads up.....check with your local PBS-TV Schedules and putt in your zip code...you should find it there. I did....good luck! I would hate for you guy's to miss it!

Its gonna be a great weekend!

We have been imagining and talking about you guys on Austin City Limits for a long time now, and here it is. Also, I think the next week after Avetts is Steve Earle paying tribute to Townes Van Zandt. So there's that then on top.

totally ready to take this all in! Laughing out loud :D

Eek

I'm tuning in...Just in case...But my local listing (http://www.pbs.org/tvschedules) shows freaking Mos Def this week, and the Avetts next Friday. What the fiddlesticks?

This turn of events has made me vewy, vewy sad.

"one with Earth and one with God"

Thanks for the heads up on January 23rd. I'm going to program my PVR now! Looking forward to it.

You guys sure know how to look after your fans! Thanks!

I knew it would happen one day...I love this show and I think it's great that you guy's played on it. Can't wait to see it and record it! Good road tripping to ya!!

Now if you could just lose that Rick Rubin fellow, things would be perfect.

Can't wait! I keep scrolling through my saved shows in my DVR, hoping for an early present! But I will be sitting by the TV waiting!

I have no selfish memorandum...no confusion for me.

does anyone know what time it will air?

but you were simply marv-e-lous darlings.

I was semi conscious late last Sunday morning with the TV on when I heard our local PBS station say "The Avettts... Austin City Limits". Naturally I awoke and had to find out the info. When I did, I sent it to you guys (OK, I'm slumming for credit -- I admit to it). How about one point extra for that? Come on guys, you know I love ya! I'm emailing everyone I know to make sure they watch. I love the comment about the new "Rock Kings"? Now don't get heddy with those crowns! Remember us little people...
