There are very very beautiful songs on this album but I have to agree with a previous commenter Tylerreed50. It just lacks something and I believe it has a lot to do with the mainstream label. I'm still going to listen to it simply due to the fact that I love these guys and they are awesome and the reason I still listen to music. I'm just a little disappointed in the country/pop sound I get from this album. I don't mind the added instruments I think it's great to branch out. Can't wait to see em live again because I know the original emotion I got from them will come out in the shows because they always have been and will be my favorite performers.

P.S. I miss the banjo/screaming/exciting songs/and the folk indie sound. I just hope they can redefine themselves again and branch away from sounding like everything else.

But I still retain the utmost respect for the Avetts!!!
