I'm a fan (and you should be too) because...in my mind the Avett brothers bring something that is sorely missing in alot of the music that is played today. I like so many different types of music but to listen to music that i can relate to, feel something when I listen to it, am able to sing along and move to the beat, experience a stirring in my soul, see the joy that it brings to others around me, well, to me that is what good music is supposed to do!!
They remind me in alot of ways of the counting crows. I think it is mostly Scott's vocals. But they are the Avett Brothers and they have their own beautiful sound.
I just love the genuine
"love" that you sense these brothers have for each other and their band members and most importantly, their family. I hope to hear a tribute song to their mom in the future. I just know it would be beautiful!! And both their mom and dad must be so proud of what has happened to
their son's.
I am a new fan and they have touched me. I especially loved the bookstore mini concert they did, and when Seth sang "belladonna" so beautifully, well bestill my heart. It was just so moving!!
And that is what music is here to do, move us, entertain us, make us feel alive and contemplative. That is why I have loved music my entire life. It has, and always will be my therapeutic rescue in a world that does'nt always make you feel so great!
I hope that these guys understand what it is they've got and how it must be shared.
