The Music Farm is one of the
The Music Farm is one of the best bar-style music venues on the pennisula in Charleston that has just been renovated by new ownership. The location is brain-dead easy to find and has a large public parking lot adjacent to the building. I am particularly happy to hear that the bathrooms have been gutted and renovated = their men's room has long been the second worst pit in Charleston = second only to Big John's nasty little secret. FYI smoker's! You cannot smoke in Charleston bars, so I'm not sure how the staff handles patrons stepping in and out to huff their favorite weed. Security and facility staff have always been kool with patrons but power drinkers beware = open a bar tab with your credit card at your own risk = I refuse to open a tab in this venue ever agin after being slammed on my bill more than once. Cash and carry only for the savy booze hound. They have apparently added balcony space and the floor plan is elevated twice in a semi-auditorium layout (minus seating) that enhances a good line-of-sight throughout the room. The old sound system wasn't that bad to begin with, so the new sound system should really add to the experience. I've seen to many shows to count at The Music Farm in six years and outside of the Charleston Music Hall it's my favorite venue. All ya'all will dig it!
