This show was my fourth, and while I loved the other three there is something about seeing the guys push through ailments and sound issues. Also it was my first time on the front row, so that really added something special. I can't say enough about this show. I've practically told everyone I've come into contact with over the past two days.
Amazing Show. My voice is gone, my throat is soar, my knees hurt from stomping along and i've never felt better!!! Today has been so lame because last night was so awesome.
ps. If the girl who was two people over, right in front of the stage, happens to see this. The guy with the Thick-rimmed glasses and green bandana wants you to know you have the most amazing smile i've ever seen
This was an all around awesome experience. I got my first Avett person to person with Joe outside of the Mellow Mushroom. He was super friendly, and he didn't seem to mind at all to sign and do pics with us. The venue was really beautiful. The show was excellent as always! The guys seemed worried about their voices at first, but the crowd was a very supportive Avett crowd. They played and sang their hearts out even though you could tell they were road weary, and this is why I love them so. They put every bit of what they had into the songs, and it made it seem like a true gift to their fans. The set was a great mix from different albums, and I got to hear a couple I'd not heard live before. I am super happy that I got to see them in Tuscaloosa, and now I can't wait until Nashville.

I somehow forgot to mention this in my last post, but I wanted to say that it was especially cool of Bob and Joe to stay onstage after the show and shake pretty much any hands they could reach. One more thing to make a great night even better!

Thanks for a truly amazing show! I'll be smiling for a week. I saw The Avett Brothers at Bristol Rhythm and Roots Reunion a couple years ago and have been telling everyone who would listen since then that they're the best, most fun and energetic band to see live. As a fan, I'm so grateful that they still pour so much into their shows. Can't wait to see them again!
