I love all of the stories about people being from NC and making it to the show in NYC!!!! I was visiting my gf in NYC from Charlotte with a bunch of her NC friends. What an amazing show, can you beleive they played Pretty Girl from Raleigh!

This show was wicked awesome! You guys rocked! I still can't believe you guys came back out and played 3 songs. It was so packed, but so worth it. Terminal 5 is a good place to have the show. Come back again!

PS - I agree with JohnnyChampange... I was lucky to have gotten there early and got to the front. It helps to get there around an hour before the doors open.

I just moved to NY after living in NC most my life. I fell in love with the avett bros the moment the performed at my high school. I've been to tons of shows since then, and have seen them at Merlfest.

I'm soooo excited to see them in NYC tho. the crowd should be amazing!

I'm from northern Michigan, and I flew out to see TAB and visit my daughter. I, my two daughters, and my son-in-law will be attending the concert. Just bummed my third daughter from North Carolina couldn't make it. I'm sooo looking forward to the show!

Have been living in NYC for years, but went to college in NC and originally from GA. An old friend in NC hooked me up with a CD from these guys recently and I was thrilled to find they are playing here in NYC!! I agree with other posts that Terminal 5 is one of my least fave venues, but I am looking forward to seeing this energy live. If it's anything like the cd- it will be amazing!

I've seen one other show here (The Shins), and I think it's an alright venue. But then again, I was right up front, so I wouldn't know about the vision obstructions. No matter what, it's going to be a great show!

Had to pipe in here; unfortunatley, this is quite possibly the WORST concert venue in Manhattan. I've seen several shows @ Terminal 5, and have enjoyed one.

Unless you're on the floor w/ the Kids, or standing against the railing on one of the three above levels, it's impossible to see the stage. Unless of course you're 6'6". The higher you go, the worse the sound gets.

If you're going, go early, stake out a spot on the floor or on the railing, and stay there.

Just moved too! Well, back, I'm from NYC but lived in NC for 4 years. That's where I fell in love with the Avetts, old time music, etc. This is my first show, I am so excited!

I just had a similar but opposite experience. I was in Charleston and saw the Avett Brothers were playing. Scored a front row center ticket on Craigslist 3 hours before the show. It was my first show and they blew me away.Amazing show, just loved it. Looking very much forward to Terminal 5.

This will be the first of many Avett Concerts that I will be going to. Thanks to NPR's World Cafe for opening my eyes to such an amazing band...

Just booked a long weekend to NYC last night for me and my girlfriend. So, this morning I went online to see if there were any good shows to see while we're there and.......The Avettt Brothers at Terminal 5 came up!!!! This will be my first show!
