Amazing show! I saw them at the Orange Peel two years ago, and while I prefer the more intimate venue, they played their hearts out. A highlight was definitely when Bonnie (great name, btw) performed "Swept Away" with them. "Swept Away" happens to be my and my husband's song, which we danced to at our wedding last month. We've seen the Avetts play in Boston (where we now live), but nothing beats an NC show. Please, guys, come back this year!

As I look back nearly 6 months ago, I believe that was the best Avetts show ever. My friends and family and I stood till our legs were numb and screamed our lungs out for these sweet guys. They always give everything for the fans...and don't think we don't notice and appreciate it!

I gotta start this off with a huge thank you to TAB for having the NYE show in NC. We were 5 people back from the stage, we stood for hours, and we ROCKED out! What a great show, what a great memory, what a great way to start the year! By far the best NYE I have ever spent! See you at Merlefest!

Just mind blowing all around, so pumped their sister bonnie came out for swept away!

I stood outside, in the cold for two and a half hours - and every frigid moment was worth it.

If I tried to pick out two great opening acts, I could NOT have done better. By the time Langhorne Slim finished (and yes he IS the Avetts' long lost brother), I was pumped.

What a wonderful night. It transcended in hues of glittering blues and greens against a white backdrop that waviered through the muscial intensity!

The Brothers played their hearts out and gave it their all. I was damn honored and proud to be there. I decided to sit and watch the Band versus standing and dancing. I wanted to take in and remember every moment so that when I try to recall a good moment in my life, I will be able to replay this concert. As I close my eyes, I can still see them - surrounded in a sea of human arms and faces, swaying to the mesmerizing magic that IS The Avetts.

Thank you for the greatest New Years EVER! For that one brief moment, you guys created My Perfect Space. Whenever I want to feel safe - I can replay Asheville.

Despite selling a few more tickets than they probably should have, this was a great show. I was glad the guys played a few different songs than in Charlotte and really mixed the new with the old well. We met some great new friends and my wife got her first taste of TAB live (in fact, she gave it a 7/10 and for a band that she doesn't really like listening to on CD was a major accomplishment in my mind) The guys are so sincere and always ready to put on a great show. I would have loved to see Seth bang the bass on "Kick Drum Heart" but maybe next time. Other than that, great sound and great performances! Until next time...God bless guys, be safe and keep having fun and loving what you do, it shows through so geniune and well!

My wife and i were 3 people back from the front of the stage and had the best concert experience of our lives! standing out in the in the cold in the alley way hours early was worth every minute to be close enough to see the Avetts rock the house! Merlefest here we come

I'm sooo glad I got to spend the last part of 2009 and the first part of 2010 with The Avett Brothers! I've only seen them once before, but they played their hearts out and it really showed. The set was good, but I would've like more older songs. The night went by so fast, because it was so much fun. Thanks Avetts for making the start of 2010 great!

8000 miles away from home, family and friends. Anyhow, thanks to the Avett Brothers, they made the NYE a special moment .

This show was the best start to the New Year that any family could want. The Avetts were awesome and they even sang You Swept Me Away with their sister. I danced and sang in 2010 with my husband and kids and was swept up in the fever. Best thing was the show went on and on and never let up, Color Show being one of the last songs.
Sorry for the venue change and the long wait out front which kept us from seeing Langhorne Slim or Sallie Ford. (We did see the bar at the new Indigo Hotel downtown.) After that though the Avett's show was superb.

I cannot wait to see this show!!! It's is going to be AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!

Finally through the Christmas holiday and now focused on getting to Asheville for NYE!!! we have had tickets for what seems like forever, and the show is almost here! Thanks guys for having the NYE show in NC.

My 14 yr old son, 18 yr old daughter, wife and I are thrilled to be coming from western Massachusetts for this show. The Avetts are a big part of our life and we all can't wait!.

A source that is undoubtedly trustworthy told me that there will be three entry periods. The first is everyone that bought the early tickets. The second is the rest of us that bought tickets for Thomas Wolfe. Third is everyone that bought for the Civic Center.

what exactly the special early entry will be for those of us who bought our tickets to the Thomas Wolfe Auditorium? They've said to "stay tuned," but so far nothing has been specified--we're cutting it rather close.

Hey anyone have any info on the early entry tix for the asheville show??? I purchased 2 tickets the day they went on sale so they were for the thomas wolfe then when it sold out so fast they switched the show to the civic center and as posted on this website it says if you bought tix to the thomas wolfe you will get early entry to the show..great....my problem is they were e tickets and i just print them 2day and it says the civic center on them but does have seat numbers like the thomas wolfe venue....so does anyone else have the same problem or have any info on how they will know that these tix were purchased for the orig venue??? thanx

Finally got my hands on some tickets, had to swing a meet-up and bought some off of a great lady who sold them at face value! I'M ASHEVILLE BOUND BABY!!! Never have I looked forward to ringing in the new year like I am right now. What a great tradition!

as i was about to purchase tickets for this concert. I noticed the large big bold letters saying SOLD OUT. My heart was instantly broken

Anyone know what the deal with seating at the concert is? It says general admission, but is that correct? Ticketmaster (grr) wouldn't let me buy my 2 tickets in one purchase and I wanted to make sure we'd still get to sit together!
