I had this exact same expierience we thought THE AVETT BROTHERS were THE SHOW but we only got to see about 2 songs!
AVETT BROTHERS PLEASE COME BACK TO UTAH!!!!! we love you!

The show was AWESOME, but the way the tickets were printed "The Avett Brothers w/ Gov't Mule" I thought The Bros were the main show and Gov't Mule was the opener (never heard of them, tried to look them up on Rhapsody and got nada). We drove all the way from Boise and thank goodness, we got there, literally AS The Avett Brothers were coming out.so we did get to see their whole set.
The show was amazing and they played my fav song, Shame, the only disappointment was that they only played for 1 1/2 hrs (again, I'd thought they were the main show) but I'm still glad we went, even though it was 12hrs of driving for such a short show. We tried to stay for Gov't Mule but didn't really dig it.
So not the musician's fault, I'm sure they had no idea how the promoter was going to bill the show, but the communication with the fan base from the promos could've been better. Would LOVE for the Avett Brothers to come our way again soon, they could definitely fill a show in Boise!

Yeah, i had the same problem as the last user, but i don't blame it on myself at all!
I am very disappointed with the Avett Brothers website for not making it known that they weren't going to be the opening band. Most of the people I ran into were also disappointed, some had traveled from as far as Boise to see the show only to miss it. So, in the future, i hope that you can let people know you aren't going to be the opening band.
I give it a 3 because i only saw 3 songs, if i would have seen it all, it would probably be a 5.

I wish I could review the show but I missed it. We figured gov. mule was going to be the first band so we took our own sweet time getting there. We got there just as the Avett Brothers show finished. I was looking forward to this show and I was so dissapointed to have missed it. I am not a fan of gov. mule. This was incredibley dissapointing. I guess we blew it!
