I felt like Traveling Song had some zydeco going on; a very drum driven beat and they could have added an accordion--I would have felt like we were down on the bayou. I liked it.
The audience during The Ballad of Love and Hate was embarrassing and rude, Avett Nation may need to consider publishing an etiquette guide. Thankfully Murder in the City went a little better in terms of the audience "participation".
I can't believe we got More of You, Solomon, and BOTH Beach songs. The difference between tonight and last night is 100-fold, they just turned on the power and killed it.
I'm glad they like Boulder and I'm glad they keep coming back...this was an epic set.
next year I'm going to Boulder!

I gave to you my ugly brown coat, you made it pretty when you put it on....
While any avett brothers concert is going to be phenomenal tonight's show to me was a bit disappointing, It was too heavy on the new album and not enough of the classics. The lack of November Blue, Cedar Lane, Left on Laura, plus lack of Kickdrum was a bit disheartening. Any of those would have sufficed!
Wow, that is a freaking AMAZING setlist! Matrimony, More of You, Solomon!!
Yogini, I'm with you - Boulder is the way to go!
I'm jealous, hope you all had a great time

I just want my life to be true
Just want my heart to be true
Solomon and Beaches? **Drool**

I would have gone just to see Solomon, Please Pardon Yourself and Living of Love.

I have rules. Never eat or drink in underwear or pajamas/Scott Avett
Was matrimony the newer slow version?
This show was absolutely amazing. Blew the 20th out of the water. Amazing to see At the Beach, Solomon, and Matrimony, as well as Living of Love (one of my favorites). This night's version of Salina was amazing, great percussive part to it. I'm moving outta Boulder in May, but gonna come back for these guys, their shows at the Boulder Theater can't be missed.
My first TAB show, was very happy with the setlist (although I was hoping for Laundry Room too) , got to hear If It's the Beaches and I liked a lot of the arrangements they did last night. Thought the crowd was pretty good too.
hey...how YOU doin'. nice list. (winks)
i had a feeling you guys were gonna get LoL. good to know my prescience is attuned...like 10% of the time.
Matrimony, PPY, More of You, Solomon, Beaches? I would've died.
Please Pardon Yourself!!!! YES!!!! please play it in mesa!!!!
Killster, could the crowd really have been worse during Ballad than they were last year during Ballad??? What is it with Ballad in Boulder that makes people do crazy things anyway???

Um, what guitar was Seth playing both nights in Boulder? The inlaid butterfly was awesome...
This isn't the best quality but it's video none-the-less! http://vimeo.com/11137711
What a great birthday present two nights of bliss thanks all. Couldn't have asked for anything better. Living of Love and soloman amazing.
tim...for me, Love and Hate isn't a sing along song, it's a listen and think song. Over the summer, I think that most of us were listening and thinking with a few exceptions. This time a lot more people were singing along out of tune and off-beat. I like to hear what Scott's going to do with the song, what note's he's going to hit, which lines and words he'll emphasize each time he plays Love and Hate, but a lot of other people just weren't into that.
I think you're right, it's something about Boulder that brings out the concert crazies in people...
Looks like the boys are playing old school set lists again. I cant wait for then to come home!

Screaming my lungs out- with nothing to say...
Killster... I get your point about Ballad... I was referring to the brawl that broke out during Ballad last year at Boulder. Best cat-fight I've ever seen. That clump of hair afterwards was pretty gross though...

Yeah, there were no clumps of hair on the floor after this show...I guess that's a win
yeeaaah.. so I'm gonna need you guys to go ahead and redo this set list for Boulder next week
People keep talking about how epic this Red Rocks show is gonna be, and don't get me wrong, I think they're going to destroy it, but I am almost more excited for the Boulder Theatre show on Friday than RR...
Avett brothers on 4/20 in boulder - I'm so jealous of all of you
I think the fact that it was 4/20 in Boulder helped keep the riff-raff out, not in (mostly).
