I must add, incredible show, my third time seeing them and definitely my favorite. As always, they brought down the house. Just incredible

Indolence Last! Talk about going out on a high note!

^ indeed!

awesome about the Sanguine and Bella Donna Smiling looks great!

3 unreleased songs, very cool! and Sally and Indolence in the same set, also very cool. High energy show from the looks of it. Would love to see Will You Return and Go to Sleep is always so good. I'm sure everyone had an amazing time!

Tonight was my first show and it was beyond amazing!! I can't believe I got Sanguine, November Blue and Bella Donna at my first show Smiling Can't wait for tomorrow night!

Wow, awesome set list...I'm sure it was a fantastic show!!

What is the NYE Song?

Scott's interaction with the crowd during Sanguine was hilarious. Here is the video for you all! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VuWj5x_cCPA

I've seen these guys a bunch of times, and I can't ever remember seeing them so amped up. Maybe it was post Grammy awesomeness!?!?!?!

Anyways, I was able to record all three of their acoustic songs last night. Murder in the City, Sanguine, and Bella Donna. Check out my YT page.

Thanks for posting that clip Vedder Avett...hilarious!!!

AWESOME POST thank you Vedder Avett. I got some clips but I was in a box, looking straight at the stage, kinda to far away for my phone. Anychance you got the new songs on video? thanks again

My first Avett Bros' show last night. It was outstanding. Thanks for posting those vids! You can read my full review here: http://popculturenotes.blogspot.com/2011/02/this-is-where-fun-begins-ave...

riviera911870,

The NYE song is a new song the band played for the first time this New Year's Eve in Asheville, NC. It doesn't have a title at this point (or if it does, the band hasn't told us), but a fan came up with this one. It's so original and awesome that it seems to have stuck.

Wow! What a set! I am sure well enjoyed by all. Thanks to all that have shared via video - love the posting of the fun interaction - what a treat!

My 14th show, and opening with Murder and closing with Indolence were together one of the most brilliant things I've seen them do. The band's energy was off the charts, as if they were trying to get the grumpypants sitters in the balcony to get up and dance by sheer force of will. And they succeeded - finally by Head/Road pretty much everyone was on their feet, and the crowd energy shot way up from then to the end of the encore. Incredible set, awesome venue.

My 2ND show..met Seth, Joe and Bob outside before the show. Very nice guys, very nice to have met them. Requested Novermber Blue w/ Seth outside and grateful he granted my wish. my 18 yr old Newphew was pumped too..great setlist..see you Maine in June..Thanks

Great show...our 3rd. Their energy was off the charts....Seeing them in October 2010, December 2010 and now in February...Head Full of Doubt became a fan favorite with the grammys. The first show was very different when they played that song....always one of my favorites. It was interesting that Open-Ended life followed Head Full of Doubt. These Brothers are very smart and play for the love not the money....if you listen to Open-Ended Life....it an interesting commentary and turned down the energy from the "new" fans. Love this band....they are honest, hard-working guys that give the fan's their money's worth for sure. Can't wait for Wilmington.

" The band's energy was off the charts, as if they were trying to get the grumpypants sitters in the balcony to get up and dance by sheer force of will."

I was in the balcony...completely different up there. It was my 16th show and like no other I'd been to. I was up and dancing and felt forced to sit on the slow songs so the "grumpypants" could see. Some man was waving his cane for us to sit. The guys put on a great show and the setlist was amazing but the balcony was no fun at all. Some people set the entire show, like they are season ticket holders and had no idea who they were seeing.

I was in the balcony too. Unfortunately me and my friends had to sit. It wasn't easy, but I turned around a couple times to see if the people behind me were standing, and since they weren't, I thought I'd stay seated so they could see the show. Some of them were family with kids. I certainly wasn't grumpypants… I wish I could've stood the whole time, but I had a good view either way.

I was down front, eleven rows back. It was amazing! So glad to hear November Blue and Bella Donna...definately one of the best shows I've ever attended! Can't wait to see them again!

I found that Sanguine vid from above yesterday and it had me laughing pretty hard. That person has a lot of good videos from this one...

I was at that show and it was fantastic. We drove down from Pittsburgh and had a wonderful time. The crowd was great and the set list that night was even better, @knucklehead-Sanguine was indeed hysterical. Got tix for both nights in Charlottesville and then heading to Maryland for the HFStival. Cant wait !

Wow, I'm so proud of my 8 yr old daughter. She just sat down beside me and said "they sound better live" !!! Raising them up right!
