great, great performance. so much energy, even after putting on such a fantastic show last night...if i didn't know how amazing they are, i would find it hard to believe.. and for any of you that know me, soph, and jenn...they fulfilled one of our avett dreams. see song #14...and there will be youtube later.

thank you sooooo much to the boys for putting on the best 4 show run i've ever witnessed. i finally understand the current plight of those who got to see them way-back-when, in their tiny club days. every show was as good or better than the one before, and everyone made us feel so appreciated for being there. so great to hang with all our avett family people, old and new. i personally don't have any show plans on the horizon (after breaking the bank on this trip), which makes this trip that much more bittersweet.

I'm so glad you ladies got to finally hear Airport. I can imagine it was the most perfect situation in the entire world... no joke. I really can't wait to hear updates from you all in the near future, and I can only imagine that you will never stop talking about this experience. Yay for you!

you got that right, barbara. we saw joe on stage, scott on banjo, seth on guitar, and bob on electric bass and we were very confused as to what was coming...and we couldn't have been more surprised, or happy. i pretty much bawled all over jenn.
t-it was the most perfect. what a way to end this experience!
we did say "never!" , though maybe more quiet than usual

and duh...of course, same spot. and our new wonderful avett companion ramon took your spot the last two shows (but can never take your place, of course!!).

I'm so glad you guys finally got Airport! Talk about a long time coming. Thank you to whoever (or to all of you!) so so so much for the call; I when I heard the intro I was convinced there were reception problems because they couldn't possibly be playing that song for that crowd half way around the world. I'm so excited to hear from all of you about the entire trip, it sounds truly amazing.
And Marissa, think long and hard about Newport!

....is all I can think of. Imagining how I would feel to be on this trip and have had this experience. Intimate shows, best of friends, beautiful music, lovely cities, and finishing it off with PG at the Airport. You must feel like you are in a dream. I could not be any happier for you! Please elaborate with many details when you settle back down to earth a bit (which I hope you can put off as long as possible).

it was all amazing and Airport just sealed it. Thanks, you guys, for being so happy for us, I cannot tell you how much it means and it just makes the whole experience even better knowing how much our Avett family is cheering us on!

Reading this thread was a great way to start my day! So glad you 3 got to experience this! Awesome you got Airport. Listend to a little of it this morning. Can't wait to go home and really listen to it. And, I echo Gunnar, can't wait to see you all and hear all about it! Great stuff!

OMG!! i just had a 5 minute coughing fit after seeing PGAA!!! hold on, still coughing, and typing. you guys are soooooooooooooo lucky. that has been my number 1 for, i don't even know how long. i can't wait to see the vid when i get home - thank you thank you thank you. what would Avett Nation do without this group of dedicated soldiers + friends?

I was able to make the show in Knoxville, TN at New Years and this show in Berlin, Germany. Both were amazing, but I have to say the Berlin show was the best and hottest show I have ever seen. No backdrop, no lights, just the guys playing their hearts and instruments, the instrument changes and vocals were ridiculous and even the Germans were impressed!!!
