ARTIST ARENA = GARBAGE

ARTIST ARENA = GARBAGE

This debacle with the pre-sale is unacceptable. The hardest of the hardcore fans weren't allowed the chance to purchase tickets. The class act that is The Avett Brothers (and all supporting staff) is not represented properly by Artist Arena. I hope that there will be consideration of severing ties with these people. I know this sounds crass, but today's events were very disappointing.

Haha. That was a disaster. Man, props to those of you who got tix. That was a whirlwind experience.

I concur. And when I called they just said " Keep refreshing, more tix will show up"

Agreed. Overall, this has been a very disappointing and unenjoyable event so far. From the looks of it, it seems tomorrows tickets are going to sell out the same way pre-sale did. I'm throwing in the hat... can't see my Avett Bros. anymore.

I will always have the albums and the memories, but this is just a little too much for me to deal with for 44 dollar tickets.

It was a rough presale...but that is to be expected from here on out I'd imagine. The plus side seems to be that the tickets they *did* have to offer were the best tickets in the venues (for the reserved shows), not scattered around like some other presales. Of course that could have been Avett's preference rather than Artist Arena.

I have a hunch tomorrow will go smoother...

I actually wondered if this would happen. They're getting big...and with that fame comes this sort of frustrating experience. I wonder if the problem wasn't all with Artist Arena, but if there were also scalpers out there buying out huge lots of tickets.

it was just like any other presale, when the clock strikes noon you click once and wait, some of us get lucky, others don't. It's to be expected with how popular they boys are getting

frustrating. that's all I got. I wonder if Morrissey is playing a NYE show somewhere.

I just got front row balcony tix in Knoxville. They must've released more for Knoxville and ATL.

"I wonder which brother is better, which one our parents love the most...he said I love you and I'm proud of you both in so many different ways."

I have NEVER been shut out from buying tickets to Avett shows like this before. I was only trying for one ticket too. I'm seriously frustrated and on the verge of tears.

It's definitely a bummer that they the site said sold out, then said there were tickets available... I think artist arena wasn't prepared for the level of dedication we fans have.

@jrlooney HA!
I have to respectfully disagree that it operated like any other presale. I have never been told that something was sold out and then have more magically appear. Something is wrtong about that. You should have gotten the six minute hold atleast until they figured it out.

I need to be grateful for the time I'm afforded in all things in life. Hell, we were FRONT ROW in N. Charleston. I should be forever grateful.

Though Bonefish, I agree with you in saying Artists Arena does not appear to be equipped or prepared to handle the demand the Avett tickets are drawing. I had 'tickets held for 6 minutes' and clicked the link to order them. As the page was loading to complete my transaction, they were simultaneously selling those same tickets to someone else. One of these days someone is going to call shenanegans on them if that scenario continues.

rough, just flat out rough! Hopefully tomorrow will go smoother??????????

Re: tomorrow, do we go to ticketmaster at 1:00pm or what?

tomorrow at 1pm is right- we'll see how that goes

i think it's more like ARTIST ARENA=LIARS. they've done it to me before, but now they have told people on the phone that all the tickets are gone yet they still keep popping up at random intervals. it's a good thing i took the day off for this or i would have been totally screwed.

Burn the questions. Burn the shame.

I feel extraordinarily disappointed... I came to school (work= I'm a teacher) beaming from the Craig F show last night.... to NOW. Feeling rejected, dejected and kinda queezy about tomorrow.

This is the roller coaster I used to ride trying for Phish tickets. While I'm thrilled the interest in the band is gaining momentum, I don't know how I'm going to handle getting crowded out from shows for MY BOYS.

I'm hopeful for tomorrow, and my fifth period is going to have to suck it up at 1pm. Ticketmaster? Where? I'll check back.

Katie--You echo my feelings perfectly.

AMEN!!!!

Katie, I am also a teacher. I scheduled lunch so I would be free at noon and got totally shut out. There just has to be a better system.

Rejoice always, Mark

Something is seriously wrong w/Artist Arena's site. I just checked it a few minutes ago and the Atlanta show changed from being sold out to having tickets. I clicked on it, put my amount of tickets in, typed out the pass code and it told me it was sold out again. Now I refresh the window and its not even offering the TN show. What is going on???
Are we even going to be able to reliably try for tickets tomorrow? Is it even through ticketmaster?

Melld07-

I saw all what you just posted. I called them in the middle of all that. They said there WERE Atlanta tickets when I had them on the phone, but no, I could not purchase them that way. "Just keep refreshing," he said. "Sometimes sold out stuff pops back up again."
Then all GA info disappeared. Reappeared as Sold Out.

WHAT. THE. EFF.

Sold out should mean SOLD OUT. Either you are or you aren't, folks.

*takes long, cleansing breath*

Back to refreshing. BUT I CLICK MY MOUSE WITH LOTS OF FORCE. I'll show them! Eye-wink

i typically don't get mad at these types of things, it just seems like this has happened for every pre-sale i've been involved with, with artist arena... no other presale has had these same types of problems... sure you may not get tix or other becoming available later, but i've never been kicked out 3+ times.... thats just ridiculous....

Well Locust, Mount Pleasant, Concord.... LETS GOOO!

My question is..... why does the management allow this to happen? There are a ton of pissed off people ou there and no single person has stepped up to this problem. Same stuff happened last presale. Neve ever thought in a million years that I would grow such distaste for the way things are being run around here.

We want answers and we want them now!

Whatever satisfies the soul is truth--Walt Whitman

I don't know how many tickets they sold in this Presale, but I was lucky enough to get 2 for Knoxville... I didn't get to try the NYE show in Asheville. But-- The site was ridiculously slow and I had to keep refreshing and trying again to get the pages to load. This happened for the Nashville Halloween show-- We were on 3 different computers (which was pointless because of the site errors) and the phone and could only get Row M less than 3 minutes or so after it opened! It was almost as if their servers couldn't handle the people trying to connect...

I will be shooting for more tickets tomorrow... (Hoping to either get better seats in Knoxville or at least one if the other shows in)... I did the 3 day run in VA, and would love to be able to do 3 nights in a row again...

Hope everyone has better luck tomorrow!

At the very least they should refund us our "convenience" charge. It would have been more convenient to wait in a real line and be told by a real person that the tickets are really sold out.... and no ticket person would have passed out from the amount of people in line. This guessing game and constant refreshing is NOT convenient.

Everyone, I encourage you to email Artist Arena with your complaints. They may not do anything but we should at least bombard them with emails.

Why don't you all just join my in Reno for the last show!! Presale tickets still available....but not sure how much airfare is Eye-wink !
