"This Will be Our Year" is a Zombies song, and an amazing one at that. (Ok Go did cover it also though).
Amazing show!
So, I did NYE in NOLA, and it was fun...but I'm sad to have missed this...Swept Away WITH Bonnie...my life would have been complete. I hope everyone had an amazing time...how could you not with this spectacular setlist.
Love to all y'all. Happy New Year! Killer show, got a couple newbs hooked. See you in Atlanta @ The Fox...
Awesome, amazing, spectacular show.
This was the best show I've ever been to!!!! Thank you Avett Brothers for helping me kick of 2010 the right way!!! I could go on about it forever!
it looks like the PG songs are MIA.

I'd rather shoot it out, bygod, than let them watch me hang!
Greatest Sum?
Jeesh.

Such a fun show! The energy was so high, everyone having a great time, and "push-to-the-front" jerks got their just desserts!

Great set list! It showed the vast diversity of where they have been, where they are now, and what the future holds...with all the struggles plain to see. Crowd was great on the second level.
We had "First 30" tickets, so we had to wait inside the lobby of the Civic Center (at this point, there were only 7 people including our party of 3). After waiting there for about 3 hrs, a rush of people came in to the small lobby and a line formed. We were let out at about 7:10 and got our coats checked. After that, we waited in another line for about a minute or so, and then were let out. At this point everyone was running, and our party of 3 got in the front row. This being my first Avett Brothers show where I was in the front row, it was very amusing. I'm sure as many of the people up front knew that some guy got thrown out of the crowd by his throat (I think because he wasn't supposed to be up there, but i'm not sure) during Slim's set. Very later in the show, a bra came flying out of the back of the floor level, and even later, someone threw a glowstick on stage (Joe tossed it back at the end of the show) Aside from that, I was amazed. Sally Ford was good. At some points it was hard to understand what she was saying. I've never seen Langhorne Slim before (i've heard his records though) he was awesome. Then, The Avett Brothers came on and wow! Out of the 3 TAB shows i've been to, this probably ranks no. 1. There was so much energy there. When we were headed out, there were a couple of thing we wanted to buy at the merchandise stand. We saw that Langhorne was working part of the merchandise stand. So after we got our stuff, we went in line. We got his autograph (on our tickets) and got a picture with him. This is a night I won't soon forget!
Dammitt! Hope tonights show is THAT amazing... wow
I had an amazing time. My first TAB show was everything I expected and then some. Highlights: "Swept Away", "Gimmieakiss" and "Colorshow"!!
Amazing show. Thanks to the person who held up the "colorshow" sign down on the floor. It paid off... I love that song. Great night, huge crowd. My new years resolution is to spend next new years eve with my favorite band again.

it looks like the PG songs are MIA.
i made the same comment as the show ended last night my friend. knoxville and avl both, only times i've never heard them do a PG song.
that being said, they came out of the gate swinging! those first 5 songs were epic. ballad of love and hate was almost a necessity so everyone could catch their collective breath. glad to see/hear the A-holes who push through the crowd got what they deserved. my party and i opted for balcony stage left/house right and had a great time.
