Avett article in Independent 7/23/08

Hey there-

I just found 3 copies of the Independent that came out before the Cary show last year while cleaning out my studio. I hate to throw them out. Anybody want one? PM me.

Thanks-
Anne

I sent one as well Smiling

I have a few copies of that Yes Weekly from around the same time. It has the three part article that Carole did. I offered them up at the time but only had a few people send me a stamped self addressed envelope. If any one wants one drop me a note.

I wanna have friends that I can trust,
That love me for the man I’ve become, not the man that I was.

Thank you very much Anne and David for sending me the newspapers. Love them! Also thanks, David, for the unexpected bonus. Much appreciated!

A live performance is a fleeting moment. A recording is a lasting work of art.

Thanks to both of you too--well, David you haven't gotten my SASE yet b/c I didn't know how much postage, but I do now, and you'll get it this week. Got the Indy article, Anne--thanks!

Wish me luck, I know you think I'll need it.
For all the hardest roads we have to walk alone.

My envelope is on its way too David Smiling

It was a four part article in Yes!Weekly. First, and overview of the Avett Brothers, a trip to their farm, front seats in Bristol, and a fourth of July chat with Seth about the Second Gleam. The story ran right before the Avett Brother's show in Cary, N.C. and may have been one of the first with a visit to the farm in Concord. David Butler took some amazing photographs that afternoon. I still smile to think about hanging out with Mr.and Mrs. Avett that day. It can also be viewed on my blogspot, caroleperkinsblogspot.
