Avett Nation announced Ace of Cakes date!

I know there is a topic floating around here about their visit to Charm City Cakes already, but my "search" option doesn't work so I couldn't find it.
So yeah, Avett Nation tweeted yesterday that Food Network will air the episode Feb. 18th. They are stopping by AND performing.
Forgive me if this date has already been announced... it's news to me!

There was a thread about it yesterday, but the topic title was about Oprah (who will also be featured in that episode) so it's not really your fault for missing it. No harm done! Nice to know it's official, anyway.
I didn't read the Oprah thread. (I don't like Oprah, but anyways...) This is exciting! I didn't know they'd stop by and perform. SWEET!

I'm excited about that episode but I would bet that because of the way that show is edited we'll only see a small portion of the performance. They've done things for other bands and the cameras have followed them to shows and you only see little bits and peices. Still cool!
I know this was covered back when it first happened, but for anyone that missed it: they performed 2-3 songs at Charm City Cakes and then taped part of the show, as well. I think they presented the banjo cake backstage at the venue.

A funny thing ... yesterday I saw a friend of mine that I haven't seen in a long time and he tells me that he just discovered this awesome group - The Avett Brothers!
"Honey, I've been their biggest fan for years, how did you hear about them?" And he said he caught them on Ace of Cakes and now can't get enough of them!
So there ya go. Even the shortest appearance on an obscure show can bring in new fans!
