decide what to be and go be it.

At my cousin's wedding, his first dance with his mother was "Murder in the City."

Offering for sure

But their good times come with prices
And I can't believe it when I hear the jokes they make
At anyone's expese except their own
Would they laugh if they knew who paid?

Been there, done this. Offering was the choice.

I still think offering. We got married before I heard the Avett's (and Joe), we light our unity candle to bridge over troubled water and first dance was teenage wedding (like in the Pulp Fiction twist contest!) I wish I could have had the chance to use Avett Brothers at our wedding!

My wife and I just got married a week and a half ago and we used both "Offering" and "January Wedding" in the slideshow at the reception. Her and her brother (her father is deceased) danced to "Murder in the City". Powerful stuff.

Swept away is such a swet song. I plan on having many Avett Bros songs at our wedding, something tells me she's ok with that ;)pgfa

At my wedding the first dance was to the offeirng. My aunt played the music at the actually wedding ceremony. The processional was Swept Away, and the Recessional was If It s the Beaches. We changed the first lines from dont say its over... to "say its forever, cause that s the best news i could hear" or something of that sort. My aunt and her son played guitars and my brother played the harmonic for the section where joe comes in on the cello. It sounded great.

All My Mistakes...might not be THE perfect wedding song, but it'd be MY perfect wedding song. And January Wedding, and Swept Away.

careful not to say that i don't care, or haven't, or can't, or will not again.

January Wedding. I plan to get married in January if it ever happens lol
Swept away and idk about all my mistakes but the three are really great choices

"The Avett Brothers are playing for themselves. They can't see what lies on the other side. Might be a dozen people out there. Might be millions."

I'm surprised no one has said Living of Love. My boyfriend and Iove this song & I'm sure it will play at our wedding.
