According to the Band Bench site on the Late Night with Jimmy Fallon page, the boys will be on the show on 11/18.

You can sign up to be put in a random drawing to get on the Band Bench (if you haven't seen the show, they have fans, for lack of a better term, hover over the bands as they play...I got in for John Fogerty and it was pretty cool). Or if you don't want to take your chances there, you can give the ticket office a call btwn 9 am and 5 pm Mon-Fri and get regular tickets to the show. The number's 212.664.3056. I called today and had no problem getting two. I also put in for the Band Bench, so we'll see how that goes. You don't get much advance notice if you're picked for the Band Bench (I think it was the day before when I went), so it makes it a little hard to plan for in terms of taking time off from work or what have you.
All tickets are free, of course.
By the way, the show tapes at the NBC building at 30 Rock in NYC. Taping begins at 5:30; you should get there no later than 4:15, preferably earlier.

Damn. I must've been one of the last few to get in. Sorry to get people's hopes up. There's always the band bench drawing.
They also give out standby tix at 9 am the day of the taping. I don't know how many people generally get in, but when I was there, they let a bunch in.

hmmm....i thought all of the Jimmy's musical guests played with The Roots (jimmy fallon's house band). at least every time i watched the show that was how it went down. let it be known that I would not mind that AT ALL. i love the roots. but i don't see that happening. haha! ill put my money on slight figure of speech.
I entered the Band Bench drawing! I hope I get chosen, I could get there so easily and it'd be amazing!

I watch Jimmy every night. Most bands do not play with The Roots. After the monologue, Jimmy will go to his desk and will announce the guests and the musical artist. If he's really excited about their performance then he'll hype them up. When the music segment comes up (about 55 minutes into the show), Jimmy will introduce them from the desk. The camera will switch to the band where they'll perform with the Band Bench folks behind them. Jimmy will then come over and shake everyone's hand and say thanks to the band and all the guests. I've been watching since day one and that's pretty much how it goes every night.
Jimmy is a big music fan and seems to favor the metal and alternative bands. A while ago they were asking folks to twitter their choices for musical guests. They got plenty of TAB tweets from me. I'm hoping for something more upbeat where they can go a little crazy.
It would be a dream realized if ?uestlove sat in on an Avett song.

I'm leaning towards Kick Drum Heart because of time constraints and it's a rockin song.
Another vote for KDH on Jimmy Fallon - the live version is awesome, and it's got a great vibe. I think Jimmy and The Roots would love it too.

I vote perfect space ONLY if ?uestlove plays the drums for the breakdown. It sounds 10,000 times better when scott can play the piano during that part. Btw i just watched monsters of folk play on jimmy fallon and ?uestlove played with them for "dear god". it was pretty sick.

SFoS! Will be fun to see them rock out with this one, especially with Seth on the drums - will probably have a really different feel than Letterman and Ferguson. Glad they're doing more of these tv appearances.

i was happy to see that they were gonna play a song they haven't played on the other 2 tv appearances. Great news. good away to let people see/hear more music. Records sales will spike hopefully!!!

What time is the show taped?
Like it seems there is a whole lot of night left after taping.
Maybe they will show up somewhere else and play a few tunes.
It is a big city with a lot of venues.

Mike, the show is taped at like 5:30 I think. I agree - they could definitely do a show that night, but I haven't heard anything yet so I'm sure it's not going to happen. I'm still crossing my fingers for a Brooklyn appearance!!!

Hahaha, Heids i work in NYC and live in CT so no worries on accommodations. I'll just take Metro North back home. Let me see if my co-worker is going with me and if he's not then you can def. be my date!!! lol.
