Avetts on the WB?

Avetts on the WB?

Saw this eating at Causway Cafe this morning in Wrightsville beach. Read the caption at the bottom of the picture of the people jumping off the bridge. Coincidence? Anybody heard about this?

Still not gonna watch it, but interesting nonetheless.

Cool!... Coincidence? I think not!

Can they do that? *cough* rip off

I'm guessing that means that I&L&U will be featured on the episode, am I wrong? Publicity happens.

If the song is featured, that is great! If not, they are surely ripping off the title of the song. It's too original for just a coincidence.

Am I a bad person for hoping it'd be Gossip Girl? I mean, at least that's actually in New York.

Give the love you find until it's gone

I've been kind of figuring they'd have a song on another show sometime soon. but if the title of the episode is actually from their song that's pretty big. talk about mainstream.

I would have hoped for Gossip Girl too...

Every episode of One Tree Hill is named after a certain song. If I'm not mistaken, the song in the episode name is usually featured in that episode.

Disclaimer: A girl that I semi-dated was absolutely obsessed with this show, hence the reason I know this. I don't actually watch it. I swear...

I would voice my pain, but the change wouldn't last.

sure you don't, uncch2011 Eye-wink

edit: oh, but that seems like great news, thanks!

My wife watches a lot of CW crap. I've heard quite a bit of Ryan Adams and Wilco from those shows. It's the only few minutes I don't squirm.

Well, I for one am Tivoing this crummy show. I watched every episode of Friday Night Lights online until I found the one that had "If It's the Beaches" on it, this is so much easier.

And another thing. I think it's interesting how, in observing how the Avetts are being marketed, you begin to comprehend how powerful people (Rick Rubin) in our society work behind the scenes to control so much of the media, the culture, so many other things we're aware of only subconsciously. I admit I'm a little frightened by it and I pray for the Avetts to escape its evil possibilities. Maybe I sound paranoid, but I think you know what I mean.

I'm frightened by those who don't see it.

Am I missing something? I can't seem to find a picture of people jumping off of a bridge OR the caption. What does it say? And what show is I&L&Y gonna be on?

I can't find it either....

Found it! After a little bit of searching...

Yeah, after I watched several episodes I knew the characters and it was pretty good. I don't ordinarily watch tv; I spend all my time on this board!

Friday Night Lights is a great show. one of the few really good quality ones out there--love it!

While One Tree Hill isn't the best show, I watch sometimes since it's filmed here in town. They actually have really good music on there- Jessica Lee Mayfield was on there last year (or maybe that was Gossip Girl- can't remember). They concentrate on music heavily on the show as one of the characters owns an independent music label.

Friday Night Lights is hands down the fav of our household. Couldn't have been happier that TAB got their first play on that show.

Man, the people in Wrighstville Beach are not too happy about this. Oh well, hope they watch it to hear TAB anyways.

-- What ifs hot on my trail, but they can't catch me.

I'd like to go on record saying that I love One Tree Hill. I'm not afraid to admit it. Also, as far as music on shows go, the CW does a pretty good job at picking good music and using it respectfully. Just saying.

Steph, you are brave, so I won't make fun of you for admitting it. Smiling and I agree that when I have seen it -- :/ -- the music has been good.

My RA from State used to be on that show. Brett Claywell played Tim Smith.

My wife loves that show, and knowing TAB were going to have part of I&L&U in an upcoming episode, I tried to watch it the other night and give it a chance....Yeah, that lasted all of about 2 and a half minutes. It was completely terrible. Of course my wife didn't care for my comments so I was forced to leave the room....Oh well, BUT I will say that exposure for the Bros like this is still great, so I'm happy for them!
