So what region do you think has had the best output of music throughout the past few years? The Carolinas are definetely up there, Pacific Northwest has turned out some good bands, Northern California, and maybe even Colorado...what do you think?

Texas has produced some awesome musicians...Austin, especially.
NYC - specifically Brooklyn - has always been really prolific and has enjoyed a resurgance in recent years.
If you like live music, there's no better place to live than NYC b/c EVERYONE comes here.

Ain't it like most people, I'm no different, we love to talk on things we don't know about.
Some good bands? The Pacific NW has pumped out a lot of good bands in my opinion. It's hard to pick one, but I'd choose the PNW if I had to. Brooklyn has produced a lot of great stuff recently, and if they haven't produced it, then they do a great job of taking credit for it (the Hold Steady for example). I like bands from all over though, so it's hard to pinpoint.

I'm a little partial- but I love being where I am for the music around east TN, southwest VA, western NC- and to some extent even SC.
