Best Of on Ramseur Records

Best Of on Ramseur Records

At Some point (contracts allowing) perhaps the Avett Bros will release a best of on Ramseur records. If they did, here is what it would be if i were choosing the tracks. This, of course, will reflect some personal taste but also considers best introductory songs. I timed it out and basically there is room for 20 - assuming you don't pick the song "Four Thieves Gone."

In Chronological order (doesn't have live songs, but maybe it should)
1) November Blue
2) Love Like The Movies
3) I Killed Sally's Lover
4) Swept Away (Sentimental version)
5) At The Beach
6) Please Pardon Yourself
7) Pretty Girl At The Airport
Cool Salvation Song
9) Talk on Indolence
10) Colorshow
11) Distraction #74
12) When i Drink
13) If It's The Beaches
14) Die, Die, Die
15) Shame
16) Paranoia In B Major
17) Weight Of Lies
18) The Ballad Of Love And Hate
19) Tear Down The House
20) Murder In The City

I KNOW there are plenty of good songs left off. That's the best list i could come up with limiting myself to 20 songs (which times out to 77:30 and fits on a cd). I also know hard core early fans would want more early stuff, but that's not what a best of is for.

YOU CAN'T POSSIBLY HAVE A BEST OF WITHOUT MURDER IN THE CITY

You are right, that was a misprint on my part. Put If it's the Beaches at #13 & #20. Murder in the City is supposed to be #20. Will edit.

BTW - The songs I hating leaving off the most were
Pretty Girl From Matthews
Offering
New Love Song
Left on Laura, Left on Lisa
Pretty Girl From Chile
I Would Be Sad
Go To Sleep

But if you put something on you've got to take something off.

Yeah maybe it can be a Double disc

November Blue doesn't count as Country Was wasn't released on Ramseur Records.

^ Ha, that's the only one I don't have a hard copy of. iTunes said it was on Ramseur 2002.

The digital rerelease was, but A Carlina Jubilee was the first Ramseur album.
