Who are the better fans, people who have a higher post count or people who have been a part of the boards longer?

The fans that stand at the seated venues.

Neither. Neither is a gauge of how much you like the band. Those who have been around longer I simply consider more privileged cause I would have liked to known about TAB back in the day but being in upstate NY I had no real exposure to the NC underground/up and coming scene.
And having more posts also means nothing, usually it's because A) they've been around longer, in which case, read above, or B) have more free-time than other people. Same goes for most 25's. Being a good fan doesn't mean sitting on the website all day waiting for something new to pop up.
If you were going to go through the asinine process of evaluating who is the "better fan", the criteria would have to be completely qualitative; ie: who appreciates them the most, who does the band mean most to... Nothing that can be put to numbers. Even people who have been to the most shows aren't necessarily better fans. I wish I could afford to travel hundreds of miles and go see 5 or 10 shows a tour, but I literally cannot do that. Does that make me less of a fan?
You know who ISNT the better fan? The one who is more concerned with their status as a fan than the band itself.
That's my two cents.
Me.

Ain't it like most people, I'm no different, we love to talk on things we don't know about.
heids is the better fan, fo' sho. I'm sick of falafel, though. Anyone up for Thai-coconut soup?
I'm up for Thai coconut soup! And Thai Iced Tea (i quit coffee). Why is it that crazy orangey color though? I've always wondered...
It's from the fish sauce, Ang. I make an incredible thai coconut soup w/ chicken and mushrooms (tom kha gai). mmmmmm.

Next time I come to your place heids, you're gonna have to fix up a batch of said soup!
Ang, come on don't give up on coffee just yet! Just one more try!

Better fan is somebody who stand sings and yells at every TAB concert they go to. nuff said.
CoffeeBomb, yes to the Thai tea. Used to live near a great Thai place in ATL. Love Thai food and esp. Thai Tea.
And for the question of who's a better fan......
Maybe the fan with the best Avettude.
Heids, OMG I am sick over here at the thought of that!
I meant in the tea!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hahaha
Also, gosh, I don't like fish sauce. They want to add it to everything in Thailand, and it's too salty/fishy/blech for me. Mixed in to a dish is fine, but not added as an extra condiment, and definitely not in my Thai Iced Tea!
Okay Bob, I'll have just one more coffee...and I'll send it your way!
The thought of fish sauce makes me queasy as well. I think I'll just have some more hummus.

I like(d) Thai food okay, but it was never my favorite. When I went to Thailand a few years ago I came down with some sort of parasite after about a week and a half and have been pretty much off Thai food since. And when I smell fish sauce now, I get nauseous.
I do love Thai iced tea, though.

Wish me luck, I know you think I'll need it.
For all the hardest roads we have to walk alone.
Happy New Year Jonny. Why not make 2010 the year you join in with some real conversation on the boards? I bet you have a lot
of good things to say...and to contribute. Bring that on.

I gave to you my ugly brown coat, you made it pretty when you put it on....
Yogini,
Can't wait to hang out with you guys at the next show we attend. Dont know who that will be. Maybe Tiffany and I will take you up on the offer to stay at your place next time we are up your way for a show. Make a weekend of it or something!
I think everyone in their own mind are the best fans. I think I'm the best fan, your the best fan, and everyone is the best fan. In my opinion anyone who listens to the "Brothers" are best fans.

I've become not the man that I was.
hahahahahahahah Ang, I wasn't sure what you meant. Ew, fish sauce in tea! UCK!!
I love Thai food, and I really do enjoy making that soup. The recipe I use calls for a TON of fish sauce, but I use only like a quarter of the amount and I have to kind of hold my nose when I put it in. It is yummy as a final product, but I agree that it's a little quease-inducing.

Do the best you can and that wont go unseen
Posting about coffee and food always gives weight to being a better fan.... (as far as I'm concerned the best fans are the ones that the music makes happy!)
I've got a snake, mang! one time I fed it some beer, it was slithering this way and that...it was all f-ed up!

I'm like my grandma: short, but I stand tall, playing every card that's dealt to me. Some days are aces, and some days are faces, and some days are twos and threes.
I saw thai iced tea for the first time last week. It seemed interesting, I'm not a tea person though, what does it taste like?

I'll see you in the morning time.

Thai tea has coconut milk in it instead of reg. milk. It is hard to describe but well worth the experience. If you are open to diff. flavors.
Heh, sounds like when I try to tell my family about the Avett Bro. music.
jonnymohegan and I are the ultimate bestest fans of all time.
No one can hold a candle to our fan-dom. Not even Sunday.
We're so fanatically fan-tastic it's ridiculous.
My g/f made me finally try hummus. It was garlic, I think.
Not bad at all.

It tastes sweet, but not really much like normal iced tea. Try it, it's the perfect accompaniment to Thai food. Probably even goes well with falafel
You can use coconut or condensed milk* and I just made some of this. It is sooo good!
