Big problem! Lost tickets

Big problem! Lost tickets

I need advise from some of y'all that this has happened to. I bought my ticket for the Midwest city show months ago, I even have a hotel payed for. I thought for months that they were were I always keep my tickets until i looked for them last night. My tickets to other shows were there but the midwest city tickets are MIA. Theft is highly unlikely, no one I know in the area are TAB fans. Has anyone ever had a venue reissue tickets when something like this happened?

only on a very small, town play sort of way.

sorry, man, this sucks. I would either try praying or look for something else and you will find them

It depends where you bought them. I've had tickets go missing and after ten minutes on the phone with Ticketmaster they'd been replaced. I can only assume LiveNation would be able to do the same, given you're able to verify all your ordering/account information. Never had the need to try Artist Arena, who could very well be another can of worms entirely. Never hurts to call.

Give the love you find until it's gone

First, don't freak out. These things happen and these businesses know it and do what they can to accomodate this.

Personally, I've had tissues reissued through both Ticketmaster and Artist Arena without a problem. Always something silly like I moved and they came after the fact or I'm traveling and left them in the hotel 40 min away. Dumb stuff.
But recently, I was even able to get a pair of tix transferred to someone else completely and have the reprinted tix waiting at Will Call on the night of a show (for Band of Horses on NYE in Atlanta @ The Fox - not a night you wanna screw up things like this) when we did a sale by mail for tix and the didn't arrive on time. So really, it's very likely you'll be fine.

First, do not go to the venue for these unless the venue was selling the tix directly. They will actually probably make you feel helpless and hopeless, because remember, the venues these days are just places where shows are held. They are more ticket passer-outers than retailers. So, who do you call? The actual retailer.

Typically, what you do is call Ticketmaster or whoever you purchased from and they will have a new set of tix waiting for you at Will Call with your name on it. Sometimes you get there day of show and they don't have them....(cue: freak out! Shocked) but don't flip out. That just means that when they did their initial printing of tix for Will Call, your tix weren't a part of that initial run. Usually the venue's box office will then go check their list or even call the ticketing company directly, and when they find your name, they'll print the tix right there on the spot.

Day of show these things get even more confusing and nerve-wracking. Just be glad you discovered this now.

Please post back and let us know what happens.
For all our griping about Ticketmaster and Artist Arena (and it IS valid, I totally believe, their fees are nutso!), these comapnies do actually come through in the clutch. Smiling (And then...some of those fees may actually be warranted - uh, but only cuz they beat buying scalped tix)

Oh man, can I relate to this one. First of all Roberto, I wouldn't freak out or anything just yet, especially since you have ample time before the date of the show.

I actually somehow lost my ticket between the walk from my car to the venue of the Fox Theater in Atlanta for the sold out New Year's show back in January. I thought I had put the ticket in my pants pocket, but I don't know if the wind took it away or if somehow I threw it in the dumpster when I threw some trash away on my walk to the venue. Not to mention the fact that i had just driven two hours from Birmingham to Atlanta. Needless to say, I almost threw up when I realized what had happened!

Long-story short, after about a 45 minute frantic search in the parking lot and the dumpster (yeah, it was great), someone advised me just to go to the box office and tell them what happened. All I had to do was show them my ID and the credit card that I had used to purchase the ticket. It wasn't really a big deal at all, but in the end, the stress of that evening probably took a few months off my life!

Good luck Roberto, but as long as you have some sort of proof (credit card, confirmation #, etc), I'm sure you will be fine.

Problem solved! I called the Oklahoma City Civic Center they handle the ticket sales for Rose State PAT. I told them I lost my tickets, they needed some basic info to verify who I was and they printed new tickets for me to pick up @ will call. Thanks to everyone for the good advice. I dont think I would have been able to relax without it. I almost panicked into buying some 2nd row tickeds on craigslist. I'll se y'all there. I'm bringing my banjo hoping for a lesson or 3 from some good TAB fans.
