As am I. Anyone want to spend the next hour just replying to each other to see which birds come next? No? Okay.
I'm already blue jay, suckers! I'm aiming for the "500 point" bird (you know, because I have nothing else to do). I wonder what it is?!? Oh, the anticipation!

The highest bird possible is a tripped-out-on-LSD Big Bird, and then at the stroke of midnight on the day that you reach that status Lars From Columbia comes to your house and kidnaps you and you're never heard from again.

It would make more sense that when you get the phoenix, your computer catches fire and then flys away as ashes.
I'll admit my internet skills aren't that great because I still can't find the bird info (I mean, I know that I'm a bluejay and will stay a bluejay until I reach 500 points, but I want to know what I'll become next)! I need step by step directions, apparently. If it makes a difference, I'm using Firefox.

I'm personally content with being a cardinal. Blue jays can be pretty nasty.

The ultimate bird is actually a duck.
I think it's a cardinal at 100 pts, I'm guessing the bluejay is at 200?
And I think it only changes on the points you get for posting, not the other random points. or not. I wish someone would explain that and the friends thing. AND I am having a hard time posting a photo that I know is small enough. frustrating.

Haha! I'm totally in! I'm kind of at work, but I'm also only kind of working, so this could happen.
Also, when you reach phoenix level, to be clear...you burst into flames and THEN you start over.
well, I got to blue jay. now I'm kind of over it. If the next level is def. at 500, I really don't think I have enough to say and/or I will get banned from this board.

Seems like I was a bird when I first started this, changed into a cardinal and now back at the bird I had the first time, I'm confused!
The birds are all drawn by Scott and Seth which is the only interesting thing about the whole experience. I hope the novelty wears off soon. Badges? Birds? Points? Please make it stop.

Hopefully, when you reach the most points you can recieve you get a badass teradactel. That would be ideal. Or, the flying monkeys from wizard of oz would be awesome as well.

I'm with bobzimmerman in that I hope the novelty of all this nonsense wears off eventually. However, for now, I must admit that I'm totally stoked that my bird changed to a cardinal. Gonna have to post like crazy to get past the bluejay stage, though, because I hate those hateful little buggers!

Has it has occurred to anyone else that this stings a little of an elaborate practical joke? Do you think the boys and all the TAB camp is sitting back laughing their asses off as we spend days and hours discussing and debating ducketts, doohickies, and badges and how to earn more of them? You have to kind of get a giggle out of the ridiculousness of it all.
And yet, I'm still participating . . .
yeah, i'm just a seagull. i wasn't prepared for the boards to get so fricking busy with the new site! i can't even keep up with everything. overwhelming, to say the least.
