I was really excited about this show since I was taking my sister and brother-in-law to their first TAB concert. I thought once they had the live experience I wouldn't have to keep explaining why I go to as many shows as I can. They enjoyed the show, but I felt like something was missing. I think it had to do with our section. I was left center row G in a very low energy area where everyone in the 6 rows in front of me stayed seated. I appreciated the great view, but it was a strange vibe. There was a cute elderly couple (I'm guessing in their 80s) seated in front of me with their hands over their ears. I didn't think they could sink lower in their chairs until we heard, "This song is about killing your girlfriend's boyfriend." They stuck it out though.
Bob was missed (continued prayers for Hallie), but Paul did a great job filling in for him. David Wax Museum was fantastic. Joe and Scott came out afterwards and they were every bit as gracious as everyone on the boards has said. It was my first time meeting them and unfortunately I wasn't able to articulate how much their music means to me. I think I maybe got out a "hi." Maybe.
Anyway, here are some pictures.

I want to thank you guys for coming to Virginia Tech! That was the most amazing concert I have been to and I have attended many. It was really energetic up stage and in the crowd. I am not sure why the first few rows were sitting but in the back we had a blast! My calf muscles burned from all of the jumping and dancing and I lost my voice from singing. The singing and playing is extremely good and the concert was all around great. Please come back to Tech again! We love you here.
