Australia! I wish!
That's pretty amazing. Wonder if the boys need an extra roadie for the trip.

Rejoice always, Mark
Wow. I don't think we'll be able to swing that...I'm still holding out for Europe, maybe. That is an incredible lineup though. You know it's good when The Avett Brothers and The Swell Season are two of the bands worthy only of small type font. Wow.

Ain't it like most people, I'm no different, we love to talk on things we don't know about.
Crowded House is the headliner for Blues festival?!? I know they're Australian and all... but Blues?

Give the love you find until it's gone
that is really cool.
I'll be going! I'll be in the area and would never pass up on this. If anyone decides to make the trip to Australia, they've got a place to stay in Brisbane. Just let me know!
Sent you a PM!
Wow, this looks pretty cool.

Surely Quirky, I'm so glad you get to see them while you are abroad--perfect! And Byron Bay (where this is being held) is awesome and not THAT far from Brisbane. so cool. hopefully they'll play a date in/near Brisbane, too.

Wish me luck, I know you think I'll need it.
For all the hardest roads we have to walk alone.
Julia--I'm so glad you get to see them while you're in Australia! I think they planned it just for you.
I think they heard me talking about Philly being my last show for a while and decided to keep me company in AUS.
I mean it's no big deal, really.
you definitely have a special relationship. very thoughtful of them.

My friend who introduced me to the Avett Bros lives in New Zealand now, after she lived in Australia for a little while.
She's trying to get me to go this show but I just can't swing the cost (also right at the end of the semester...). So sad. Her and I have still yet to go to a show together and she hasn't seen them since she left the states 3 or so years ago.
I and Love and You is going to be released February 19 in Australia. A couple of new dates added also. These may already be posted in the tour section, I didn't check.

The Avetts are a rare talent, timeless yet current, and capable of singing straight to a single soul while broadcasting to the ever-increasing masses.
Australia? Yeah right. When donkeys fly out of my arse.

I have no selfish memorandum...no confusion for me.
This is for anyone thinking of going to this festival to see the Avett Brothers. I was merely just roughly planning on attending this so I was trying to work out the details and I noticed on the Bluesfest website that The Avett Brothers were not mentioned on Saturdays line up, yet on the tour page here it says the 2nd and 3rd Friday and Saturday respectively. I emailed them asking if The Avetts were definitely playing on Saturday and this is the response I got…
The Avett Brothers are playing at Bluesfest on Thursday and Friday.
Thank you for pointing out the discrepancies, I will get it fixed asap.
That would make it The 1st and 2nd of April. Dolph or Steph, you might want to look into that.
