Amen!! Its definitely worth it.

I can't understand how anyone could not care about Stevie Wonder or Jeff Beck.

...The Sunday Morning Rehab Show...
.............. on WQFS 90.9 fm..............
It’s more fun than a week at Betty Ford.

The best part of my 2 bonaroo experiences was walking up to band/dj i'd never heard of and being completely blown away. I know the Avetts will blow it up on Sunday but don't miss out on a ton of other good music at the fest.

watched the chocolate drops yesterday while making some call and was thoroughly impressed.

Punch Brothers were a nice surprise. I'd never heard of them before.

I am very excited to get to see the guys on the tube tomorrow. Hope lots of you in Avett land are watching too!

There's going to be some nice interview footage for Spin tomorrow, too.

I am insatiable when it comes to Avett Input. LOL

They're about to stream live on NPR right meow, check it out. The announcers are really excited about it

With Lucifer beneath you and God above, if either one of 'em asks you what you're living of say, "Love."

Just the Fall...

Ha, yes Chrisvant, I pulled out my banjo and am strumming along to what I know. Good to know I'm not alone

Is it just me, or is this already a particularly excellent version of The Perfect Space?

I'm listening now and wondering....is this the performance that will be broadcast tomorrow?

Yeah, but tomorrow is video!

In a way, I am glad we decided not to go. The crowd is especially annoying...

Better an enthusiastic crowd than a lethargic/apathetic one. (I'm a bit biased because my brother and his friend are there right now! They're very respectful concert-goers.)

True...
I am a little biased too, I guess. Last time I went to Bonnaroo, someone p***ed on my foot. I am still bitter about it!

^^But the guys sound great. And not just you kat, loved that version of Perfect Space.

My heart is breaking right now just listening. We were supposed to be there!! We had tickets given to us!! We had babysitting arranged!! Then this week happened and everything fell apart. I know I'm prone to exaggeration but actual tears were shed this afternoon when I thought about Slim getting ready to go on about noon. That's right guys, sing it, "There's a darkness upon me..." absolutely correct!

MamaKate you're from Springfield? Hometown for me right there, graduated Shawnee three years ago

Just in case you're clicking around and looking at other things while listening, they just posted some photos beneath the live stream.

Oh good call on the pictures, wasn't looking.

Friend who is there right now said she gave up on trying to get to the Avett's stage, there is apparently a ridiculous amount of people watching and her short self could get nowhere close

When I Drink > Salvation Song > More of You. Nice.

I was about to say...the end of salvation song sounded like more of you....and then a few seconds later they bust into more of you. love it!

Haha brz2889, I'm a Catholic Central grad, bit older than you though, I graduated in '96. You probably don't understand why I would be depressed about missing Bonnaroo when I'm sitting in super-cool Springtucky. Eye-wink

Ah, yes, the great Springtucky. Still is a nice home to go back to though. Currently stuck myself in Peoria Illinois, which I can't say I prefer

The end to Laundry Room is like the audio equivalent of the greatest moment of my life, every time

holy moly listen to that crowd after they just CRUSHED Laundry Room......eeeeeks!! wait till they let loose with Indolence...

My god, how freaking awesome was Indolence? Jesus christ, how I wish they'd played that at Savannah...

Can't wait to watch it tomorrow...bummer that it isn't streaming live on the youtube page.

capo 2 on SFOS also, just learned it during the song, hadn't really ever tried to play that for some reason...nice way to end with 3 barn-burners, then I&L&U....almost like being there, right Avett Nation? hope your bro had fun Barbra....Jhutch's step-son gave him a phone call for Paranoia...

Too much ILY during this set.

I'm going to be in a car for eleven hours tomorrow, but I'm glad I at least got to listen tonight Smiling The guys sounded amazing. They really killed it.

I could be wrong, but it sounds like Scott is laughing during I&L&Y...can't wait to see the video

Ahhh ending with the crowd was lovely. Let me reminisce of the arm in arm swaying at Columbus

Yeah Chris, haven't had the chance to talk at length with my bro about it, but he did write on my fb wall about how awesome it was. He said that there was a lot of Avett buzz in the air afterwards... yay! Smiling

just started listening at 3:20am and didn't read any of the post so far so not to ruin the surprise factor may be an even later evening/morning. But my smile is ear to ear and i;m ragin in the kitchen.Cheers!

I will keep my wits about myself, disregard directions sent from hell.

wow, so great to see the boys getting all that love. Didn't expect the respect from the Bonnaroo crowd. Soon every music-lovin type will realize what a treasure these guys are.

How big was the crowd at Bonnaroo? You can hear everyone singing along on the NPR archive stream. No other band had that many people singing!

Chrisvant & brz2889:

There were at least three of us playing along Saturday.

You catch how much higher up they play "When I Drink" live? Recorded capo II, played live at capo IV. (Speaking of which, you notice they're at capo VII on the new Crackerfarm video of "Tear Down the House," instead of capo IV? Always thought that one was a little low pitched, actually.)

And brz2889: you say you're in Peoria -- you make it to Summercamp?

"Free is not your right to choose, it's answering what's asked of you, to give the love you find until it's gone."

Sure wish you wouldn't get the retards (lack of better word) shouting "I love you" and just being annoying. My own opinion is that you can go to the shows and have an awesome time without sounding like its your first time at a concert. Fantastic show, just get tired of the yokels.

--
But their good times come with prices
And I can't believe it when I hear the jokes they make
At anyone's expese except their own
Would they laugh if they knew who paid?

Yessir Mr. Eric. I drove home for the Columbus show and to visit the family, then brought the girlfriend back here Sunday for the Avetts again. Was a wee bit late but we ran up to the stage just in time for the Fall. Was front row for G Love later. Good times, would love to make it back again but this Peoria situation is only temporary, I'll be in Germany this time next year
