If this movie comes to your city, please go see it so that it can become huge and come to my city.....sorry for this post but i'm trying to get the word out on this movie because the orginal is one of my favorites and Part II is only opening in like 65 cities and i don't want to have to travel to go see like i did when Into the Wild came out!!!

are you sure it isn't 25 cities?
edit: nope, i guess only 5.
It doesn't look that good though.
the first movie might have been one of the most overhyped pieces of crap I have ever seen. So bad I couldn't make it through the whole film. I can't believe anyone would watch the trailer for the second film and want to go see it.

decide what to be and go be it.
to each his own.....it's a cult favorite, and one of mine. thanks for the input though. hopefully you're comment was not a little swayed to the negative side by the poster(me).

Not sure about the movie, but I HIGHLY recommend the documentary that was produced based on the filming of the first Boondock Saints. It was called 'Overnight.' It basically chronicles the rise of the writer/director of these movies, Troy Duffy. He evidently was an 'overnight' success after Miramax bought the initial rights to his script back in the late 90's/early 2000's. Of course this guy is a world class d-bag and it showed his immediate success, inflating his already enormous ego and then how he totally crashed and burned, turning everyone against him, including Harvey Weinstein and Miramax.
Anyway, throw it in your Netflix queue and enjoy. You'll never cheer so hard for someone to fail at achieving his dream in life. That sounds harsh, but seriously, watch the documentary and see for yourself.

yeah, he was a complete ass...i pretty sure he learned his lesson when he signed over them dvd rights and the movie went on to sell 7 million DVDs.

I love the first movie. When is the second film coming out? I knew it was in the works but had not heard news of a release date.
It's gonna be out in 65 cities on 30 Oct 09.......hopefully broader after that. Check here http://www.sonypictures.com/movies/boondocksaints2/ for a list of cities.

Well, it's about two brothers.

Carolina one day I'll, someday I'll come home.
That's disappointing that it's not coming to the South
I loved the first movie!!! I will see this one regardless of reviews and the critics' opinions. And I'm pretty sure Rocco's not in this one Terry.
they talk about Rocco being in some flashbacks and trippy sequences or something like that, somewhere.
