I was also there....with SundayRehab.....who, not to take anything away from an award winning tog, actually took a better shot.....IMHO.

That's pretty cool. I hadn't seen this (or Sundayrehab's) picture yet, and I think it's extra cool that it's an award-winner.

It's a good composition but the focus is way off. Sunday's was much better.

Well, echoing what everyone already said, but yeah Sunday's picture was better....
So, Dave, time for that repost!
Thanks for the kind words. I met the Observer photographer that day and he was a very nice guy. It’s great that he won the prize with an Avett shot. I think his photo is killer. It is much sharper and brighter than the one I took. He had a very fast lens that was likely worth more than my car. It must be nice. Still thanks to everyone that liked mine. I was proud of it.

those are awesome Sunday!!!!! I have some somewhere from that day, but my lack of composure was very apparent
I saw the comments and asked, "How great could his picture be?" I looked at it and I agree. It is an awesome picture.
sunday's picture also made the BLURT magazine article.
