does anyone know of a hotel really close to HOB chicago, under $200??

How close is "really close?" I have used hotwire a bunch of times in Chicago, and I can be fairly certain that you will find something w/in walking distance of HOB well within that price range. But you don't know where exactly you're staying when you use hotwire till after you pay. But if you look in the Magnificent Mile/Gold Coast/Loop areas, you should be able to find something, if you're willing to walk a bit or take a short cab ride.

I have never used hotwire before but it sounds the same as priceline's price negotiator. You pick the general area, name your price, pick the quality of hotel, and enter your credit card info. If your price is accepted you are immediately charged and given a random hotel that meets your quality standards. If your price is too low then you are not charged.

Areas 6 (Millenium Park, Loop & Grant Park Area) and 7 (North Michigan Ave - River) are the closest.

Plenty of options under $200.

We're staying at Hampton...three minute walk, according to Google Maps. All the rooms they have left for Sunday are under $125...depending on your bed preference and such.
