Hey all, just wanted you to take a look at this site: cleggavett.com. It's a brand new site, devoted to Scott and Seth's grandfather. He was an interesting man and this is a cool site, so check it out if you've got the time (and spread the word).

And in the end, the love you give, is equal to the love you make.
So glad to see this is finally up, yay!
Thanks for posting this.

There's always time for a good Avett family project. I'm gonna' like this for sure.

Love this:
I’m not afraid of you the people because you and I are judged by the same judge. I do recognize and respect His judgment of men and my talents, and I’m glad he sees what may not appear to the human eye. I enjoy a freedom because I’m not running in a popularity contest and therefore am not dependent upon everyone’s approval.

The Avetts are a rare talent, timeless yet current, and capable of singing straight to a single soul while broadcasting to the ever-increasing masses.
Good stufff.
Thanks for sharing!
I can see a little bit o' Seth peeking through in Clegg's features.
Thanks for linking this! I think it's cool that the Clegg Avett Memorial Scholarship is given at Brevard College! That's my hometown!
Looks like an awesome project. The thistle-looking design on the navigation panel also grabbed my attention- does any one have any info on that design and what it means?
Been waiting for this gem.

Rejoice always, Mark
Jennyrev, this might be a weird question but are you the Jenny from Williamsburg, VA that I befriended on MySpace sometime back?

Nope! Not the same jenny, I'm afraid!
This is awesome. When I see stuff like this and the Jim Avett album, I just get more and more proud of this family. But it's like the pride my mother has, not the kind in the bible that makes you bad.

I'm like my grandma: short, but I stand tall, playing every card that's dealt to me. Some days are aces, and some days are faces, and some days are twos and threes.
I've been reading through this excellent little book gradually over the last couple of months. From a faith perspective, it is inspiring. From an Avett fan perspective, it is informative. In Athens, Scott told me how much this book (as well as his grandfather's other writings that he hopes to publish) has affected his thinking. Anyone with an interest in what makes this family tick should at least check out the website. And I can't imagine any collection of Avett memorabilia being complete without this book.
OK, read that over and sounds like a commercial. Since it's how I really feel, I am going to let it stand.

wow, this pretty cool
People often wonder why the Avetts are so passionate, loyal and true. I think it stems from strong Faith and a belief in God through out their family. I think it's undeniable. I think we all can learn something from that.
