Will def. be at the charlotte show, and might try and make it up to Hampton. I would advise checking out their shows on archive.org from september in san Fran. There is much more energy in this project compared to others from the past.

Seen the Dead more than 25 times.
Saw Further Tuesday night in NY.
Excellent show. The new guy from DSO does a great job and the drummers are outstanding.
Bob and Phil ain't bad either.

Oh so that is who that was on drums. He is a machine. Couldn't help but keep your focus on him. Great addition to the band.
Was he the guy that opened for Phish a few years back with some other guy?

yeah - pumped for this one... should be a heck of a time
I haven't seen any members of the Dead in Charlotte, since the Phil and Friends show back on 4/20/2001....

Not sure if they have opened for Phish. But they did plat with Trey and Mike in the GRAB project. They are called the Benevento /Russo Duo and I really dig them. They make a whole lot of sound for 2 guys.

Haha...yeah, I remember Warren wishing everyone a happy 420 at the beginning of the encore. Good show.
I'll def be in Charlotte. It's in the middle of the week so I probably can't make Asheville. Should be a good time.

i think ill be attending the show in charlotte,
i just gotta find the money. I saw the dead in g'borro last year, this sounds way better
you better get your tix soon, if you don't have 'em already, i tried for some civic center tix earlier (just saw post today
....) and they were long gone but figured as much w/ the ashville peeps. I pondered charlotte for a bit and checked ticketbastard and was wayyyyyyy back up high, though that wouldn't really matter i guess. Took leedle's advice and listened to some shows from sept and was blown away by the music, much better than anything they tried since Jerry's passing IMO, sucks that I just figured out what was up!
yeah man thanks for the heads up, ill probably try and get one of an auction site or stub hub i guess
Bump.
Another week or so. Who's stoked?

Next wednesday can't come quickly enough. This s***ty weather needs to get out of here. Looking forward to catching up with some old friends and hanging out before Futher blows us away!

Where are ya'll seats at? We're on the right side of the floor, about half-way back....
This is gonna be tits. Only problem is, it's during the Duke/UNC game. Me missing this epic beat-down of the Tarhoes is going to be sacreligious, but I guess I'll have to DVR it.

yeah - not too shabby.... pretty slow second set, definitely brought out some of the darker side of The Dead, which is cool too at times....

Yeah the band is firing on all cylinders. Like Drew i was a little disapointed with the song selection in the 2nd set but the bands playing more than made up for it. I've read that the band hasn't repeated a song the entire tour so far which i find amazing. I really hope this isn't the last time these guys hit the road together. I think they have allready confirmed some festival dates so hopefully anther tour will be in the not so distant future. I would also like to see Warren stick to Mule and the Allmans, and that JK will become a permanent fixture on guitar. He channels Jerry for sure!

Yeah, it's freaky how much he sounds like Jerry. Actually, I think they've played "Going Down The Road Feeling Bad" twice. I would've really liked to have gotten that one. "Maggie's Farm" was prolly the highlight of the night for me....

Yeah i really liked that Maggies, i swore it was West LA fade away at first. But we are headed to check out Dark Star Orchestra tonight at the neighborhood th., which should be fun. Donna Jean Goudchaux will be there so it should be interesting.
