Different kickdrum for ACL taping

Different kickdrum for ACL taping

I was just browsing the pics from the ACL taping and I noticed that Scott's usual kickdrum is replaced by a big solid-black Pearl kickdrum. Anyone know why the change? It woulda been cool to see the usual one with the artwork.

Anyways...cannot friggin wait for the show!

I can picture Rubin behind his desk with all of his grammys in his lap, twisting his mustache and lauphing like a madman...no but seriously, its just a kickdrum people. although it woulda been cool to see that familiar artwork

I thought the same thing, but remembered this was taped in November and they used the normal one in December. But its still a possibility I suppose.

Yeah it's probably what was already there... a "house" kickdrum if you will. Like Reblecka said... If they flew there they can't carry everything with them. They may have rented it or borrowed it.

But Rick Rubin told them too... Eye-wink

they did the same thing at the record release and Toronto--since they flew, they rented a lot of the bigger equipment and just brought guitars, banjos, and possibly some other stuff.
