Gleam III predictions?
Gleam III predictions?

Don't know if this has been mentioned or not, sorry if it has. I have only been around for 25 hours or so. But what songs of the 25 or so out there unreleased will show up on a possible Gleam III?
Maybe Skin and Bones? or Dream Appointed?

Good Lord I hope Skin and Bones is on there.

Neither seems very Gleam-ish, though they are both great songs and hope to see them VERY soon on an album. Now, 10,000 Words? Would've expected that to be on a Gleam.

Late in Life doesn't seem very Gleam-ish to me, but it is one of my all-time favorite Avett songs. Hope to see it released in some form.
I also can't see any of the songs we currently know on a Gleam album. The closest is Dream Appointed, but I still don't think that will make it. Not that I wouldn't love to hear that or Skin and Bones on an album one of these days...
"I also can't see any of the songs we currently know on a Gleam album. " Which makes me super excited to think of all the songs we haven't heard yet. we know they've talked a lot about working on the next batch of songs. oh man!

I have the inside scoop. Gleam III will be all Earth, Wind and Fire covers.

Here's hoping for September, Reasons, and Boogie Wonderland (with Jessica Lee, Sam Crain, & Nicole Atkins in the role of The Emotions).

I'm agreeing with Solomon & Telling Time. I'm just excited for it all though.
Didn't they enter the studio with 30 songs for I&L&U. Theres a huge bank of songs yet to be played, and that was a long time ago, with many more written since.
They did.......I am hoping for Dream Appointed and Skin and Bones on something soon even if it is not a Gleam type EP.

I love Solomon, and want to spin in over and over in my car stereo. I can only dream to have it on a Gleam.

...i traded my heart for those days...
I'm a new fan from this year. Can someone explain the significance of The Gleam EP's? What makes a song Gleam appropriate? I have them both and love them.
Songs from the Gleams tend to be more stripped down, often slower, and just the actual brothers.

Is it even a sure thing there will be more Gleams? I mean, I've always assumed there would be, but have they ever actually verified that?

The Avetts are a rare talent, timeless yet current, and capable of singing straight to a single soul while broadcasting to the ever-increasing masses.
They have also mentioned several times that they have the "next one in mind" and aren't they recording some demos in January? I don't think it necessarily will be a 3rd Gleam, but I would say we should see SOMETHING by the end of next year, or early 2011.
aww, I'd forgotten that Chris Farley interview, though I knew that's the one it was gonna be when you posted, b/c I remember the Gleam 3 reference.
